As the Head of Demand, Inventory, and Supply Management for North America, you will be responsible for overseeing the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of all aspects related to demand forecasting, inventory management, and supply chain operations within the region. You will lead a team to ensure efficient inventory levels, timely fulfillment of customer orders, and alignment with company objectives and goals within our Doka Distribution Center (DC) located in Channahon, IL.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of Supply Planners and Yard Logistics across two physical locations in NJ and IL and provide leadership, motivation, and support to the team in a time-sensitive and demanding environment, including developing career plans and succession planning.
- Establish, enforce, and adhere to standards and procedures to maintain healthy and safe work environments, in compliance with legal regulations and Safety Manager expectations.
- Manage inventory levels in the North American supply circle, including Distribution Center stocks, as well as utilize inventory management software programs to continuously track and monitor inventory.
- Review stock levels in the North American supply circle and implement exit strategy measures based on product portfolio development guidelines.
- Assist in strategic product portfolio development for all branch locations within the North American supply circle.
- Ensure accurate quality control and compliance with Doka quality standards for DC inventory and coordinate material flow from Doka Production according to current and future material needs.
- Drive the Forecasting and Budgeting process by analyzing material demand forecasts, resource requirements, and variances to sales plans.
- Ensure compliance with fixed cost plans for the DC.
- Review internal procedures, recommend process improvements, and ensure compliance with existing Doka corporate processes and standards.
- Profound logistics experience in an international environment
- Strong business acumen and commercial knowledge (i.e., analysis of key performance indicators and budgeting, contracting, credit checks, etc.) as well as import and export know-how.
- Several years of leadership experience, ideally in an international corporation, knowledge of American law an advantage
- Strong analytical skills
- Easily adapts to new software solutions and programs
- Decisiveness, assertiveness as well as entrepreneurial thinking and acting
- High level of English language skills; Spanish and German languages skills are a plus
- Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally is strongly preferred.
