Head of Data Growth

The location of this role can be flexible, candidates can be based out of any of our clubhouses across the UK, working to our blended working model.

About AND Data

AND Data is a new team within AND Digital (part of our UK Go To Market function), and is responsible for growing the client work AND does in Data.  The team will support AND’s sales, client account and marketing teams in growing the number of data projects AND wins and delivers, and working with recruitment & academy to make sure AND have the right people with the right skills in clubs and consulting teams to deliver it.

AND Data will expand and evolve the data capability at AND by owning and driving the growth strategy for Data. This comprises three focus areas for 2024 to deliver high quality, innovative data projects for our clients; Capability, Capacity and Credibility. The focus of this role is on Credibility - generating demand and growing our revenue from data projects.

What you’ll bring to the table:

As Head of Data Growth, you’ll be part of a 3 person team with the Head of Data and Head of Data Solutions. Your primary focus will be working with Client Partnerships (sales) and Service Delivery (account management) to win data projects from new and existing clients across the UK. You will also work with Marketing to grow the demand for AND’s data services.  You will be directly positioning and selling our data projects, as well as embedding these skills within our wider business development teams.

This is a brand new role with a great opportunity to make a significant impact in a key strategic growth area for AND over this year and the coming years.  As a small team, responsibilities for the team’s objectives are shared across the team and it will be essential to work collaboratively with other teams in AND to achieve these objectives.

You’ll be carrying out activities such as:

  • Meeting with clients and potential clients to understand their needs, inspire them about what AND can do with them in the data space, shape projects and close opportunities
  • Supporting AND’s sales teams with new business development, responding to RFPs, embedding ‘data selling’ skills and bringing in the right people to develop proposals
  • Managing collateral to clearly explain our data propositions both internally to AND and externally to clients
  • Working with other AND teams to identify joint opportunities to go to market
  • Creating a market presence for AND’s Data services working with our marketing team to run and attend events, networking, conferences and build market awareness
  • Speaking to AND’s client delivery teams to spot new data project opportunities
  • Driving internal awareness of our data services and capabilities

To do that, it’s essential you bring the following:

  • Demonstrable experience delivering new business wins and/or growing data/analytics accounts working as part of a team
  • Have worked in a professional services company
  • Experience generating demand for B2B services through online and/or offline marketing and events
  • General understanding of data concepts like data warehousing, data engineering, analytics and insight, generative AI etc.
  • Ability to present complex information clearly to non-technical audiences and influence senior technical and non-technical clients
  • Motivated and flexible self-starter, with experience of being part of a brand new team

It’s helpful if you also have:

  • Experience of designing propositions
  • Experience of KPI/OKR reporting and measurement
  • Experience of RFP responses, particularly for public sector opportunities
