About the Role

We are seeking a Head of Data and DevOps to lead our teams in harnessing the power of data and optimizing our development operations. This role is crucial for driving our technology strategy, ensuring data integrity, and implementing cutting-edge DevOps practices that align with our business objectives.

Responsibilities

• Lead and mentor the data and DevOps teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
• Develop and execute a comprehensive data strategy that encompasses data collection, analysis, protection, and usage to support decision-making and drive business outcomes.
• Oversee the design, implementation, and management of our DevOps infrastructure and practices, including automation, CI/CD, and cloud operations, to enhance efficiency and reliability.
• Collaborate with other department heads to integrate data and DevOps practices into all aspects of the business, ensuring alignment with overall corporate strategy.
• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and best practices in data security.
• Manage vendor relationships and technology partnerships to support data and DevOps initiatives.
• Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in data management and DevOps, adapting strategies as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 10 + years experience in DevOps or similar role  
• 3+ years proven leadership experience in managing data and DevOps teams in a dynamic environment. 
• Strong technical background in data architecture, database design, and big data technologies.
• Expertise using Google Cloud is required.
• Expertise in other DevOps methodologies / tools (e.g., Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud platforms (AWS or Azure) is a plus.
• Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities to collaborate with various stakeholders and lead teams.
• Demonstrated ability to drive digital transformation and foster a culture of innovation.
• Experience in implementing machine learning models and analytics solutions.
• Certifications in cloud technologies, data management, or DevOps methodologies.

Salary

The annual base salary for this role is between $185,000 – $225,000 based on experience and qualifications. The position is also eligible for a variable bonus and company equity.
