About the role

We are seeking a talented and experienced Head of Department for Creature FX to lead our London team. You will play a crucial role in building and shaping the Creature FX department, working closely with global counterparts and other departments to ensure smooth communication, efficient workflows, and top-tier visual effects delivery. This is a leadership position requiring deep technical knowledge, excellent people management skills, and a passion for innovation in Creature FX.


What you’ll do


  • Build and lead the Creature FX department: Develop workflows, set high standards, and ensure the team is equipped with the tools and resources needed to excel.

  • Collaborate across departments: Work closely with VFX Supervisors, Directors, and software development to solve complex production challenges and improve workflows.

  • Manage team development: Oversee the training, mentorship, and career progression of team members, providing feedback and guidance to foster growth.
