Head of Content Communications (based in Brussels)
Are you a strategic communicator with a passion for creating impactful content that resonates with diverse audiences? We’re looking for a Head of Content Communications to lead our content strategy and help drive the reputation, engagement, and growth of UITP.
In this key leadership role, you will: Develop and execute a unified content strategy that aligns with our organisational goals, brand identity, and audience expectations; Oversee the creation, distribution, and performance analysis of content across multiple formats and channels; And build and nurture online communities, engage key stakeholders, and elevate our global reputation.
Reporting to the Senior Director of Communications and Marketing, you will work closely with colleagues across the Marcoms, Advocacy, Knowledge & Innovation, and Membership & Global Operations teams.

Strategy and Planning:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive content communications strategy aligned with organisational objectives and priorities
• Design and execute an advocacy communications strategy that amplifies UITP’s mission and goals
• Identify and analyse audience needs, market trends, and emerging communication platforms to enhance content relevance and impact
• Collaborate with senior leadership to align messaging and priorities across all communications, and plan annual content priorities.
• Manage the Content Communications budget
Content Creation and Management:
• Oversee the development of compelling, high-quality content across multiple formats and platforms, including web, social media, email, newsletters, video, podcasts, and print
• Innovate and define diverse, impactful formats for the dissemination of knowledge & data
• Ensure consistency in tone, style, and messaging to reflect the organisation’s brand identity
• Lead Editorial brainstorming meetings with key departments on a quarterly basis to ensure alignment with the organisation’s objectives and priorities
• Oversee third party funded project communications, ensuring each project's communication plan aligns seamlessly with the broader organisational activities and overarching editorial strategy
• Oversee the creation and execution of content campaigns that promote the overall mission and objectives of the association
• Develop and maintain a messaging toolkit for staff and members to advocate public transport benefits worldwide
Team Leadership:
• Lead and mentor the content communications team, a hybrid team of content creators, writers, and external agencies, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment
• Provide constructive feedback and guidance, supporting team members’ professional growth and wellbeing
• Set clear objectives aligned with organisational values and priorities, and ensure adherence to corporate policies and procedures
• Act as the primary point of contact for colleagues regarding content needs
• Coordinate closely with marketing, press relations, and digital teams to integrate content seamlessly into broader campaigns
Performance Analysis and Reporting:
• Establish KPIs to measure the effectiveness of content strategies and campaigns
• Analyse performance data and audience engagement metrics to refine and optimise content approaches
• Present regular reports and insights to senior management
