We’re a distributed team, and we currently have team members all across Europe & the UK! This role is based in our Amsterdam office with an expectation of being in the office 2 - 3 days a week, or more if you prefer. We work very frequently with almost all other functions across the business, so we’re really proud of our ability to collaborate effectively and are always looking for ways to connect and work together; making use of both our virtual tools and our lovely offices. We try to come together as a full team once a year in either London or Amsterdam for a team offsite, and throughout the rest of the year we gather in our respective country teams as frequently as we can!
💻 What you’ll be doing
Reporting to our Commercial Director of BeNeLux, you’ll be the country manager of our Netherlands & Belgium flower gifting business. You’ll manage our P&L to drive profitable growth, covering all aspects of our business. The country manager is responsible for the ultimate success of the business in their respective countries, and also the longer term strategic roadmap for growth.
You’ll work with a wide variety of teams across the entire organisation, to solve our most complex business problems and prioritise the rollout of solutions. You’ll design tests and execute on them, manage the trading of our key peak periods, ensure we have the right level of customer demand and the right amount and types of products to service that demand!
- Manage our day to day on site trading, with a particular focus on peak moments (Christmas, Valentines day, Mothers day) ensuring a smooth execution maximising for profitable growth.
- You’ll manage our local marketing teams to maximise orders and growth we achieve through local channels, both online and offline, whilst working closely with our global digital marketing teamBecome the point person for the Netherlands & Belgium markets, owning the multi year strategy for growth and ensuring the wider business is working towards achieving these goals.
- Seek out and build strong partnerships in the market to widen the audience and ensure continuous growth, especially over peaks.
- Work with the broader Commercial team to build the key elements of our gifting commercial roadmap, and anchor that execution in our best practices, including:
- Working with our Retention team to monitor and drive year on year growth of orders from our existing customer base, building a test and learn roadmap.
- Work with our acquisition team to test new acquisition strategies tailored to our brands / markets. Test different incentive strategies, channels and prove the value of each of them.
- Work with the Product and Design teams to review the current customer experience and build roadmaps to drive on site conversion.
- Work with our range and operations teams to optimise our bouquet product range for the NL & BE markets. Drive our value proposition through pricing, incentives, addon range and attachment rate.
- Work with our research team to drive market specific insights to inform our overall strategy.
- Build strong relationships with our brand & creative teams to ensure a joined up communication and messaging strategy for our customers, to improve our brand awareness and perceptions in the respective markets.
- Work closely with our Head of Subscriptions to balance the prominence of our subscription and gifting products to our customers.
- Be the voice of our customers, conducting customer research and developing improvement to our proposition on the basis of robust customer feedback.
- Work closely with our business intelligence & strategy teams to ensure we are thinking about long term success in the right way, and being as intelligent as we can in our approach.
- Own the preparation of monthly trading meetings and commentary for key performance meetings, with an especial emphasis around peaks
✅ You’ll love this role if you…
- Have prior experience managing P&Ls in growth mode - especially in the ecommerce space.
- Have experience managing teams across the marketing and/or ecommerce space.
- Comfortable with google sheets / excel, strong numerical literacy will be an advantage in this role.

- Strong knowledge and understanding of the NL / BE market is a must
- Fluency in English & Dutch is required
