Eurostar Group is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Business to lead our commercial operations and drive the growth of our B2B and corporate travel offerings. In this senior management role, you will play a pivotal role in developing and executing market strategies to maximize revenue and enhance Eurostar’s brand presence in key business sectors.
 
This is a permanent position based in either our London, Paris or Brussels office with hybrid working. The close date for this role is 20th October 2024. We’re looking for someone to: 

  • Develop and implement business sales and marketing strategies to increase revenue, sales growth, and brand visibility, ensuring competitiveness across air, rail, and e-commerce channels.
  • Lead strategic partnerships and negotiations, building strong, long-term relationships with key stakeholders and clients.
  • Leverage expertise in air, rail, and e-commerce distribution systems to optimize Eurostar’s commercial offerings and corporate travel strategies.
  • Measure and analyze team activities, revenue growth, ROI, and customer retention, using data-driven insights and loyalty programs to drive engagement.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams to ensure stakeholder needs are fully supported, aligning business objectives with operational excellence.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of direct reports while managing broader departmental performance, focusing on succession planning and high performance.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements to maximize revenue and minimize costs, fostering win-win partnerships.
  • Promote a positive safety culture, ensuring compliance with Eurostar’s safety policies across the business and teams.

Requirements

We’re seeking a dynamic leader with exceptional commercial and analytical abilities, strong communication skills, and a proven track record of delivering tangible business results. You are experienced in managing complex stakeholder relationships, negotiating contracts, and driving cross-functional collaboration. Your entrepreneurial spirit, strategic vision, and proactive attitude will drive the success of Eurostar’s business growth.

You'll need...

  • Master’s or Postgraduate degree in Marketing/Commerce or equivalent work-based experience.
  • Substantial experiencein distribution, e-commerce, marketing, and/or corporate travel management.
  • Proficiency in French, English with Dutch and/or German as a plus.
  • Expertise in Contract Management, Microsoft Office, and data tools like Power BI or Tableau (Advanced level).
  • Strong Leadership & Strategic Vision experience: Demonstrated success in team leadership, sales strategy, and business development.
  • Industry Expertise: In-depth knowledge of the business and corporate travel industry, air/rail distribution systems, and e-commerce.
