About the Role The Head Of Assurance and Governance role leads the development and implementation of PEXA's risk management framework. Specifically, this role is accountable to oversee the Group’s internal audit providers, own and drive improvement in risk and compliance policies, procedures and technology, support the management of risk at a Group level and lead insightful reporting and analytics. Key Accountabilities Owning and driving improvements in risk and compliance policies, procedures and technology Overseeing PEXA's internal audit providers Supporting risk management at the group level Leading risk reporting and analytics Preparing materials for executive risk and board risk committees Maintaining the group risk profile by liaising with executives and management Leading the annual corporate insurance renewal program Cultivating a risk-aware culture and enhancing risk management effectiveness measurements Providing trusted risk and compliance advice, oversight and reporting Collaborating with the risk team to ensure consistent risk framework application Contributing to improving PEXA's overall risk management capability Leading and managing a small team within Group Risk Skills and Experience The role requires 10+ years of risk/compliance/assurance leadership experience, expertise in operational and compliance risk (especially in financial services/fintech), strong business acumen, program management skills, and the ability to effectively engage with business leaders on risk management. You are a highly self-motivated and people focused leader that will provide mentoring, thought and technical leadership to a small team within the broader Group Risk team. You are a leader who supports continuous learning and actively works with teams to create capability uplift, career and professional development opportunities.
