The Head of Asia Marketing is a newly created senior leadership role, reporting to the APAC Marketing Director (CMO).  Ideally the role will be based in Malaysia however we are happy to consider applications based in Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines

This role is a dynamic and exciting role that is responsible for leading, creating and implementing the Local Marketing strategies, plans and integrated campaigns to drive business performance across the Asia region and to help deepen our relationships with candidates, students, and hirers (businesses).

Specifically, you and your team will own the Country Marketing Plans, TTL campaigns, Social, Events and PR for the region.

You will be accountable for driving growth across the six key markets within which SEEK operates including Singapore, Malaysia, Hong Kong, Thailand, Indonesia and the Philippines.  

Collaboratively work alongside world class APAC centers of excellence located in ANZ and Asia, which offer services in Brand Strategy, CRM, Digital, Analytics, and Research. This allows you to be part of a multinational organization and the Marketing leadership team.

You will be responsible for a large team of over 40 marketers based across all of these geographies.

This role will shape 3 significant areas of opportunities at SEEK over the next few years-

  • Embedding our SEEK brand positioning externally to continue to grow preference for SEEK as the number one destination for finding the right jobs and the right candidates.
  • Delivering bold creative campaigns that solidify SEEK’s position as one of the top 5 leading Marketing brands in APAC growing both our brand strength and value
  • Implementing local marketing strategies that optimally reach a larger audience and provide a strong return on investment.

The SEEK Marketing team has big dreams. In ANZ, the SEEK brand is among the top ten most valuable brands. The team won the 2024 Marketing Team of the Year and an Effie award for their recent campaign work. Your role will be pivotal to achieving similar success in Asia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and implement Local Marketing strategies across six key Asian markets, driving growth and deepening relationships with candidates, students, and hirers.
  • Develop and implement detailed marketing plans at the country level, incorporating local insights and competitive intelligence to increase visits, placement share, and brand preference.
  • Coordinate integrated marketing initiatives, including Above-The-Line (ATL) communications and stimulate engagement across all market segments.
  • Run social media and PR strategies to build brand health, reach relevant audiences, and position SEEK to be highly-influential voice on employment-related topics.
  • Lead customer events and partnership strategies, delivering engaging experiences that provide value and align with SEEK's goals.
  • Lead and manage key creative agency relationships fostering partnerships that encourage bold Marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate with APAC centres of excellence and multiple teams to align Marketing efforts with business objectives.
  • Lead and develop a team of over 40 marketers across multiple geographies, driving high performance and engagement through effective mentoring and feedback.
  • Looking for a senior and seasoned marketer with validated experience in driving business growth through strategic marketing plans in different geographical locations.
  • You have significant experience and success in leading large regional Marketing teams across Asia in both developing and developed markets.
  • You’re a dedicated leader who inspires teams to take inquisitive risks, encouraging long-term brand growth and success.
  • You bring extensive experience leading multi-million-dollar campaigns, driving impactful business results.
  • Passionate about innovation, you challenge the status quo in marketing to deliver measurable outcomes.
  • Skilled in handling partnerships with creative agencies, negotiating contracts, and leading events, PR, social media, and content strategies.
  • You excel in leading high-performance, geographically dispersed teams with strong engagement.
  • A collaborative communicator, you work effectively with executives, internal teams, and external partners to achieve shared goals.
  • You’ve successfully led multiple brands within a unified strategy, balancing diverse needs.
  • With a sharp commercial focus, you consistently deliver strong return on investment on large-scale marketing budgets.
  • Data-driven and analytical, you continually optimize strategies to improve performance.

Other Qualifications, Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated ability in senior marketing leadership roles for min.10 years
  • B2B and B2C experience highly desired.
