As Head of Artist & Repertoire, India & South Asia, you will:
- Identify, qualify, and develop long-term growth opportunities, and execute strategic plans with a view to reach market leadership in India
- Define and implement our sales strategy for all Regional, POP, Indiepop, Hip Hop artists in India with passion, innovation, care, and transparency.
- Accelerate organic growth by building a deep understanding of the market of artists services and in-depth knowledge of key market segments (by geography, market segments, type of clients)
- Lead a team of executives in charge of offering and managing distribution and marketing partnerships to a network of artists of different musical genres in the territory.
- Collaborate with your team in charge of selling distribution & marketing partnerships to a network of artists & support and guide them to ensure we source, attract, sign, and develop new artists in a constantly evolving environment.
Your duties will include but not be limited to the following:
- Undertake market analysis to establish and understand the addressable market size for all artist community in India.
- Build / Establish network and relationship with the artist community in the region.
- Sales and sourcing strategy
- Define and implement your sourcing strategy and priority targets
- Lead with your team the sales process and completion of deals aligned with the company procedures (salesforce, contract signatures)
- Identify new business opportunities to initiate and close complex deals covering aspects such as legal, financial, marketing and communication components
- Build and maintain an excellent network in the music industry based on reputation and quality of service
- Leading the sales activity
- Identify appropriate KPIs to measure the sales performance and ensure regular reporting and completeness of the data in all internal tools
- Communicate priority targets and leads to the team and define actions plan
- Ensure the deals are aligned with defined business rules and internal process to guarantee successful relationship
- Identify and share best practices with the team and the group
- Leading and developing a team of A&R, Project Managers.
- With exemplarity and by sharing Believe’s driving forces in your daily relations and activities
- Set guidelines, strategy, and objectives to improve and assess the team’s performance
- Support your team by identifying improvement needs and providing appropriate training, mentoring, and coaching
- Fluent English is mandatory to succeed in your role as part of a global company.
- You have a relevant experience in people management and demonstrate strong leadership skills
- You own your P&L
- You have an excellent relationship skill and are artist-friendly
- A solid network in the music industry is a strong plus
- You have exceptional communication and negotiation skills
- Number of identified artists and labels again target
- Number of signed artists and labels against target
- Percentage of accuracy of data based on standard quality controls (CRM)
- Actual generated revenue against budgeted revenue
- Percentage of career reviews actually led with team members
- Percentage of objectives and OKRs set to the team
