Are you ready to rethink your routine? We’re looking for a highly experienced and strategic Head of Analytics Engineering/Data to lead our data function. You will be part of the Engineering Senior Leadership Team, reporting directly to the Technical Director. As data is a core part of Trinny London, you will collaborate closely with various departments across the business—from Operations to Marketing, ensuring data-driven decision-making supports all key functions. You will oversee the entire data ecosystem, including both our central data hub and distributed team spokes. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the analytics architecture, driving data strategy, and enabling business growth through robust and scalable data practices.

The Role 
Your daily to-dos might look like this:

  • Managing both the centralised data hub team and the data spokes across various departments
  • Day to day management of our Data Team that consists of Analytics Engineers and Data Analysts
  • Lead the design, maintenance and implementation of current  data architectures
  • Develop and implement data governance frameworks, ensuring data accuracy, privacy, and accessibility across the business
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders across engineering, product, and business teams to align data initiatives with strategic objectives

Requirements

These skills will help you go far in this role:

  • Proven experience in a senior data leadership role
  • Hands-on experience with GCP BigQuery, dbt, ThoughtSpot, and Fivetran.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex data pipelines and oversee data infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Data Warehouse/Datalake best practices.
  • Experience leading cross-functional data teams, driving a collaborative and centralised approach to data management.
  • Ability to communicate data concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of e-commerce data strategies, particularly in the beauty or retail sector is desirable
