Dangote Cement Ghana is in the process of recruiting a Head of Mechanical Maintenance for their team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage the mechanical maintenance department, ensuring continuous availability of machinery and equipment.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and rectify any mechanical deficiencies or issues.
- Coordinate and prioritize maintenance activities to ensure maximum productivity and efficiency.
- Manage a team of skilled technicians and provide mentorship and guidance as needed.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical maintenance activities with other departments.
- Develop and adhere to maintenance budgets, monitoring expenditure and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Continuously evaluate and update maintenance processes and procedures to drive continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Proven 10 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably in the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of maintenance best practices and industry standards.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) is an asset.
