Head / Manager of Rx and Partnership Marketing

The Head of Rx and Partnership Marketing is a strategic role focused on building and enhancing relationships with restaurants across Japan. Reporting to the Head of Marketing Japan, this individual will lead initiatives to partner with restaurants from a marketing perspective, develop co-marketing campaigns, spearhead merchant marketing, and leverage these partnerships to drive platform growth.

One of the greatest growth levers for Wolt is the collaboration with our partners. Working together with local heroes, enterprise partners and other brands will be a key way for us to enable growth for both ourselves and our partners. This role involves honing that functional expertise and deploying it across the countries within the region.

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Lead the team of Japan Restaurant Partnership Marketing Manager/Specialist and ensure their strategic alignment.
  • Identify and secure new non-retail partnerships, while nurturing existing relationships on a regional level.
  • Accountable for reaching new and existing users through in-store presence amongst our merchants.
  • Participate in meetings with bigger accounts with local teams.
  • Design and execute joint marketing campaigns with non-retail partners to increase visibility and drive mutual growth.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align partnership marketing strategies with overall business objectives.
  • Support Marketing Strategy and Planning teams in city and area expansions.
  • Oversee the creation of marketing materials and promotional content tailored for restaurant partners.
  • 5+ years of experience working in consumer/brand marketing from a tech, eCommerce or similar industry. 
  • Strong B2C marketing and strategic partnership expertise
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
  • Strong analytical skills and confidence working with data. Strong budget management experience
  • Positive and collaborative team management experience, lead by example 
  • Solid experience with negotiation management and joint business planning with stakeholders
  • Eager to learn and thrive in a dynamic, constantly changing environment.
  • Comfortable working with different departments and senior stakeholders. You can build relationships and alignment but are not afraid to push ahead on your vision. 
  • Self-starter and impact-driven: you enjoy taking ownership of projects with limited oversight. You’re not afraid to take responsibility and ownership of you and your team’s work
  • Analytical thinker, methodological, ROI oriented, but also have the ability to see the big picture and think strategically.
  • Fluent in English and Japanese
