Role purpose

Our team collaborates with innovative and talented engineers, designers, business teams and growers, to assist in the design and development of technologies that will benefit everyone internally and externally.

You will be working on innovative technologies, platforms, consumer-facing products, and/or enterprise systems. As the IT Lead, Russia at Syngenta you will own, lead or participate in these transformation projects depending on business needs.

Accountabilities

  • Understand markets, business, competition, and high-level user requirements across different functions of the organization
  • Prioritize with the Russian business the core IT solution needs.
  • Support the Russian business with the right solution stack for the various needs (what to build, what to buy locally).
  • Manage sanction requirements and ensure Russia business continuity during critical platform localisation programs (SAP to 1C, SFDC to Bitrix, etc)
  • Launch newly created (along with business leads) and own existing IT solutions and products, test their performance, and iterate quickly.
  • Own, manage and lead IT Function in Russia collaboratively with the Regional teams, defining their roadmap, evolution and priorities to deliver value to the business. The IT functions include but are not limited to:-
    • IT Services (Cybersecurity, Networks, Workplace Technologies, IT Infrastructure)
    • Global IT Platform migration (SAP, SFDC, Qlik etc)
    • IT Transformation Program & Projects
    • Business Intelligence & Reporting
    • Overall IT Business partnering with (CP & Seeds Businesses, Commercial, P&S, R&D, Finance etc)
  • Develop solutions to problems by collaborating as needed across regions, product areas, and functions.
  • Act as the single point of contact for Global and Regional IT programs (both IT services plus Platform implementation/upgrades). Feedback to regional/global teams about perception of solution delivered, services delivered.

Deliver tangible improvements to business outcomes by

  • Developing technology roadmaps with Russia Business that underpin their strategy, driving implementation with internal and external teams to support business growth
  • Looking across Business functions identifying and connecting to collaborate, develop and share technology solutions
  • Collaborating with Russia business teams in their use of technology to make core business more productive, solve problems and enable new opportunities
  • Identifying business requirements, developing solutions including technology, data, processes, resources and delivering either directly or indirectly
  • Managing Russia technology solutions throughout their life cycle in close collaboration with regional Digital and IT pillars
  • Instituting modern ways of working, such as product management, fusion teams and DevOps
  • Leading a team of 3-7 direct reports to continuously grow, develop and be successful
  • Confidence in making business decisions in ambiguous situations.
  • Demonstrated skills in collaborating across functions to create business value from complex opportunities.
  • Experience working on data feeds, integrations, and/or data quality initiatives.
  • Customer-centric mindset, ability to think holistically about E2E experience and spot pain points.
  • Ability to define a longer-term vision and build relationships with cross-functional stakeholders to achieve it.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a high degree of comfort with data-driven problem solving.
  • Project management skills to deliver initiatives on time and to specification with autonomy.
  • Success working in a cross-functional, fast-paced environment leading complex operational initiatives to successful outcomes
  • Ability to autonomously identify, prioritize and drive multiple initiatives
  • Experience managing day-to-day technical and design direction.
  • Ability to influence multiple stakeholders without direct authority.
