We are looking for a Hardware Project Manager to join us as we build cutting-edge technology solutions!  This is your opportunity to be part of a team that is committed to delivering best in class service to our customers.

In this role, you will work on cutting-edge quantum computing hardware, contributing to the development of advanced systems and hardware for government programs. This role will focus on project management and coordination for a quantum computing initiative, with responsibilities that include delivering designs and specifications to support government projects. Your work will directly impact the development and testing of quantum devices, requiring collaboration with internal teams and external agencies. You’ll also be involved in managing test systems, process improvements, and handling various project management tasks.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage the lifecycle of quantum hardware projects, including budget, scope, and timelines.
  • Write and maintain key project documentation, including requirement specs, architecture specs, engineering design plans, and test plans.
  • Lead internal meetings with hardware development teams to drive project goals.
  • Manage the schedule and upgrades for test systems, ensuring their functionality in support of quantum devices.
  • Facilitate test measurement processes for cryogenic fridges and coordinate weekly bug triage sessions.
  • Work on program schedules using project management tools (e.g., ADO, JAMA).
  • Implement process improvements and manage additional project management tasks as needed.
  • Collaborate with external government agencies and internal engineering teams to deliver high-quality hardware designs and specifications.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in hardware, firmware, or software project management.
  • Experience working with ADO (Azure DevOps) and JAMA for project management.
  • Understanding of test and measurement equipment and its role in hardware product development.
  • Proven experience delivering technology solutions in a large-scale, multi-platform environment.
  • Familiarity with project management tools like PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Project.
  • Strong people management, team-building, and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering preferred).
  • Previous experience working with government projects or external agencies.
  • Knowledge or experience with quantum computing and related hardware systems.
  • Experience in a large-scale tech company or similar organization, particularly in hardware product development.
  • Understanding of the hardware lifecycle, from design to testing and implementation.

Salary Range

Pay ranges vary based on multiple factors including, without limitation, skill sets, education, responsibilities, experience, and geographical market. The pay range for this position reflects geographic based ranges for Washington state: $100,000 to $115,000 USD/annually. The salary/wage and job title for this opening will be based on the selected candidate’s qualifications and experience and may be outside this range.
