About the Role (Your Why)
Our Customer Centric Managed Services team provide a wide range services to our Clients. We are seeking a knowledgeable all-rounder in Hardware and End User Technology to ensure we deliver value to our customers and internal stakeholders through the delivery of high-quality Hardware Asset Management services, with the goal of optimising the purchase, deployment, utilisation, replacement and disposal of hardware for Datacom customers.
Our offices are based in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney. We like to bring people together in person when we can, but we are mindful of the benefits of working from home for work/ life balance. We therefore leave it to you and the team you join to figure out what works best!
Due to our customer requirements, you must have Australian Citizenship to be considered for this position.
What You’ll Do
At the moment, as Hardware Asset Manager you will be focused on:
- Ensure the effective delivery of high-quality Hardware Asset Management Services:
- Daily administration of the Hardware Asset Management activities
- Ensure compliance across Datacom and customer HAM policies, processes, procedures.
- Ensure that delivery teams, customers and process participants adhere to the HAM processes in line with customer requirements and ITIL Best Practices
- Implement and Manage the Configuration Management System, including CMDB and AMDB
- Responsible for maintaining asset information in the AMDB/CMDB to deliver IT Services.
- Assist in coordinating the logistics of the hardware lifecycle including collection, replacement, return or disposal of laptops.
- Ensure all HAM policies, process, procedures, work instructions, user guides and customised appendices are documented, reviewed, updated, and published on an annual basis or earlier if required.
- Lead Audits and work collaboratively with Internal and External Stakeholders to ensure accurate data is provided.
- Facilitate the provision of sound consulting advice to the customer as required, and assist them in the identification of solutions for its business requirements in relation to HAM.
- Ownership of the end-to-end hardware request management processes for the customer ensuring there are no process gaps, and leading regular forums with all process participants.
- Implement robust processes to ensure all devices deployed are recorded in the HAM Tool
- Work with internal procurement teams & stakeholders to deliver on business requests.
- Develop & maintain asset management processes & procedures.
- Daily monitoring and management of HAM process compliance including customer SLA and KPIs and health reporting as required or requested by management
- Escalate risks discovered in, or affecting, the HAM service and delivery of services and ensure they are documented with the SDM, Account Teams, reported in the customer's monthly reports (where applicable) and tracked in Customer Operations Risk Registers.

What You’ll Bring
Required experience:
- Strong End User Compute delivery experience
- Understanding of end-to-end hardware request and deployment processes
- Has a passion for excellent customer and demonstrates a willingness to help customers and provide them with a service that adds value to their business
- Strong understanding of process operating frameworks, quality processes and methodologies
- Experience creating, documenting, maintaining and implementing policies, processes and procedures.
- Experience in participating in a continuous service improvement plan
- Experience participating in a Hardware audit
- Able to analyse large amounts of data in excel or alternative database software
- Strong stakeholder management expertise, able to drive process improvement across a diverse and heavily matrixed organisation
Nice to have:
- A Self Managing Professional who can work autonomously and recognise when there is a requirement to collaborate and escalate
- Analytical thinking and the ability to analyse detailed reporting
- Ability to effectively present/communicate, negotiate and interact at all management levels, including with Technical Staff, Management and Senior Leadership
