Join Aprio's Growth team and you will help clients maximize their opportunities.  Aprio is a progressive, fast-growing firm looking for a Growth Director, Specialty Tax and Advisory Services to join their dynamic team.

The Growth Director, Specialty Tax and Advisory Services is responsible for strategic and tactical deployment support needed to drive high growth within one of the firm’s fastest growing, highest margin departments. The primary focus for this role is Specialty Tax, which includes Tax Credits and Incentives, International Consulting, SALT Tax Consulting, and M&A Consulting with expansion growth responsibilities across business advisory services.  

The Growth Director, Specialty Tax and Advisory Services works closely with segment leadership to drive and support the execution of business development and marketing strategies with an ultimate focus of increasing pipeline, enhancing Aprio’s awareness in the market, and growing revenue at a minimum of 20% year-over-year growth across high growth segments.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Creates growth plans that include a go-to-market strategy, lead generation plan and capacity plan that will produce 20% year-over-year organic department growth
  • Student of the Firm deep knowledge of services - expert on the trends, market opportunities, customer needs, and competitive landscape for specialty tax and business advisory services
  • Identifies and owns relationships with Centers of Influence and Sales Channels
  • Coaches and enables robust account planning
  • Collaborates with Department Leader to identify and source new services, solutions or offerings needed to comprehensively serve segment
  • Works with Department Leader to identify, evaluate and onboard new sales channels
  • Analyzes service financials, sales pipeline, marketing analytics and other segment performance metrics
  • Develops and manages lead generation plans in partnership with Aprio’s growth team

Plan components may include:

  • Digital marketing: PPC campaigns, Account Based Marketing, content marketing campaigns
  • Events: webinars, trade shows and conferences 
  • Contribution to the development of sales assets: collateral, presentations, videos, bios, core proposal assets for service teams, inside sales and channel partners
  • Thought leadership content: articles, blog posts, and videos
  • Outbound calling: works with Outbound BD team to drive new meetings for segment leadership

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years experience in business development, marketing or other related fields
  • Exceptional people and relationship development skills
  • Significant business development/marketing experience 
  • Self-starter comfortable assessing situations and determining priorities
  • Fluency in CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot experience a plus)
  • Excellent project management skills; ability to prioritize and manage 20+ projects simultaneously
  • Demonstrated experience leading successful growth campaigns
  • Analytical chops for analyzing marketing analytics, pipeline data, and market trends to identify key levers for optimization.
  • Natural relationship builder and connector 
  • Excellent executive presence and communication skills to collaborate with clients, industry leaders and internal team members & executives. 
  • Effective at selling ideas to educate and influence segment members 
  • Has a “do-what-it-takes” spirit, a willingness to roll-up your sleeves, and the flexibility to adapt to evolving goals and priorities.
  • Strong understanding of the professional services environment
