About the Growth Lead, Growth & Emerging Products role

We’re looking for an outstandingly tenacious, innovative, and relentless Growth Lead to join Float; a team that’s building the best corporate card and spend management platform in Canada. In this role, you will have the opportunity to have a major impact on Float’s future footprint; constantly innovating, driving improvement, efficiency, and scalability across our customer’s lifecycle stages and Float’s key success metrics.

As the Growth Lead, Growth & Emerging Products at Float…

  • You’ll work directly within our Growth and Emerging Products Team to drive mission-critical, cross-functional projects across the organization.
  • Conduct thorough market research to identify emerging trends and opportunities for growth within our products, business model, or go-to-market (GTM) tactics.
  • You'll own our entire PLG customer acquisition, activation, and expansion strategies and work closely with Marketing, Sales, Customer Success, and Engineering to drive efficiency and scale across our customer lifecycle stages; building a repeatable PLG motion and playbook for our self-serve customers.
  • Own Self-Serve onboarding targets and run growth hacking initiatives to improve time-to-onboard and time-to-first-spend.
  • Drive pipeline for our self-serve product. You'll run campaigns and experiments across multiple channels to hit aggressive pipeline targets.
  • Experiment with Total Payment Volume (TPV) growth strategies within recently activated and mature accounts on Float. Create growth loops to cross/up-sell Products within the existing customer base.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders across multiple teams to execute complex cross-functional initiatives that move the business forward.
  • Move beyond typical B2B marketing playbooks to unlock scale and ROI.

Requirements

You’ll be great in this role if:

  • You’ve got the experience. To be successful in this role, we’re looking for 7-10+ years of experience in growth within the fastest-growing B2B SaaS startups. You’ve built out and scaled onboarding, activation, and expansion strategies through Product. You’ve managed multiple customer lifecycle stages autonomously. You also have:
    • Experience in developing Growth strategies from 0 to 1 and growing them to scale.
    • Experience in iterative/agile development and working with engineering teams directly.
    • Experience operating against consumption-based revenue models and owning revenue targets.
    • The ability to build systems. You know how to leverage existing growth systems and leverage them to build out a new system.
  • You have a hacker's mentality. You obsess over finding innovative ways to hit goals – even when the conventional wisdom says you're wrong. You’re constantly seeking new ways to push boundaries and drive progress, and you’re excited to drive change and shape the future of our organization.
  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity. You know where we need to go, but recognize there won't always be a straight path to get there. You’re scrappy and enjoy finding creative ways to work through obstacles.
  • You’re an owner. You take complete ownership and accountability of delivery and outcomes. As the pipeline owner, you'll have the opportunity to showcase your independence, initiative, and resourcefulness to hit and exceed your goals. You thrive in an environment that values self-direction and empowers you to take ownership of your work.
  • You are an exceptional communicator. You effortlessly connect with any team in an org, especially Sales, Marketing, and Engineering. You possess astute influencing skills, and you have the ability to bring multiple stakeholders together and problem-solve between various groups. You are a skilled listener who is able to understand and synthesize diverse perspectives and opinions.
  • You’re analytical and data-driven. You’re proficient with data analytics using SQL with an ability to draw key insights from both quantitative and qualitative data. You leverage tools to inform strategies, understanding customer needs, market trends, and growth opportunities. You possess a strong attention to detail; diving into the weeds with your team and picking up on the seemingly small, yet important, details.

This role won’t be a fit if:

  • You do not like to work asynchronously
  • You are not a self-starter and do not like to work independently
  • You aren’t obsessed with your craft
  • You don’t like ambiguity
  • You don’t like regular feedback on your work
  • You aren’t super passionate about helping Float build the best corporate card and spend management platform in Canada
  • You are uncomfortable with direct feedback
  • You prefer stability over change
  • You aren’t comfortable prioritizing your own to-do list
  • You don’t have a very strong work ethic
  • You aren't a team player
  • You aren’t resilient
  • You have an ego

Don’t meet every single requirement? If you’re excited about this role, and you strongly align with our values but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be the right candidate for this, or other future positions.
