The Role
Reporting to the Head of Rewards, People Analytics and Tech, APAC, the Director, People Analytics & Tech, APAC will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing the organization's people analytics, systems, processes, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. You will play a critical role in driving operational excellence, fostering a positive employee experience, and ensuring that our company remains compliant with applicable laws and regulations. On top of that you will be the custodian of the People Data and drive the build of the People Data and Analytics ecosystem.
The role holder will collaborate with the WPP and Global GroupM People Data & Tech as well the wider People and IT community (both across APAC and globally) to support the delivery of the people systems transformation agenda for GroupM’s 12,000+ employees across all of APAC (c37,500 globally).
Responsibilities:

Strategy Development:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive strategy for people systems, processes, and compliance that aligns with the organization's goals and objectives.
- Collaborate with senior leaders and key stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement and implement best practices to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Stay up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes to ensure our systems and processes remain current and compliant.
- Be the custodian of People Data and develop the People Data and Analytics ecosystem to drive People and Business outcomes

People Data and Analytics:
- Be the custodian of People Data and Analytics approach and ecosystem
- Establish and build the People Data and Analytics roadmap for the APAC region
- Drive the People Data and Analytics agenda in the region
- Partner with key stakeholders to identify key business questions / use case and work to leverage People Data to deliver insights that support decision making

People Systems and Processes Management:
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of scalable and efficient people systems, including HRIS, performance management, talent acquisition, onboarding, employee development, and offboarding.
- Identify process bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement, and implement streamlined and automated solutions.
- Drive the adoption and effective utilization of people systems across the organization, providing training and support as needed.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key external people data & tech partners/vendors
- Represent APAC in global system and process implementation
- Oversee and support the establishment of a People Shared Service Center

Compliance and Risk Management:
- Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs to ensure adherence to relevant employment laws, regulations, and internal audit requirements.
- Ensure that there are clear Business Continuity Plans for core People Systems and Processes.
- Stay informed about changing legal, regulatory, and internal audit requirements and ensure that the organization's processes and practices remain compliant.

Employee Experience and Support:
- Partner with People Teams and other relevant stakeholders to ensure that people systems and processes align with employee needs and promote a positive employee experience.
- Provide guidance and support to People team members on system usage, process adherence, and compliance matters.

Address and resolve escalated issues related to people systems, processes, and compliance.

Projects:
- Is the APAC representative for all Global People Systems and Analytics projects. This would include but is not limited to: Global Payroll project, Workday roll out, Global People Data Solution etc
- Be the bridge for APAC in ensuring that APAC market and region requirements are considered and communicated in all Global People Systems and Analytics projects
- Work with relevant stakeholders to ensure that global and regional projects in line to people and business priorities
- Partner with market teams in event there is a pressing need to implement / deliver key people systems and analytics project to drive unique market business outcomes
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Technology or a related field.
- PMP certified highly advantageous.
- Extensive experience (8+ years) in HR operations, systems, process improvement, people analytics & data and compliance roles.
- Strong knowledge of HR systems and technologies, such as HRIS, talent management, and performance management systems.
- In-depth understanding of employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Proven track record of implementing and optimizing people systems and processes in a complex organization.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills.
- Strong leadership abilities with the ability to collaborate and influence across all levels of the organization.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
