Capacity Planner, APAC
GroupM is the world’s largest media investment company and are a part of WPP. In fact, we are responsible for one in every three ads you see globally. We are currently looking for an Experienced Capacity Planner to build and strengthen our resource management capability at GroupM in APAC that drives a cultural shift towards people accountability by developing a forward-looking, data-driven workforce strategy.
OVERVIEW OF THE JOB
The Capacity Planner is responsible for aligning capabilities with client needs to ensure timely and effective fulfillment of roles. This position plays a critical role in advising client teams on fulfillment timelines, staff planning, and role expectations, while maintaining accurate data. The Capacity Planner navigates between various fulfillment channels to optimize team configurations and enhance client strategies.
REPORTING OF THE ROLE : Chief People Officer, Centre of Values, APAC
This role will partner closely with Client Teams and Client leads, Staffing Strategists and business leaders, Data and Systems teams, Resource Management leadership and Workforce Planning (as the operating model matures further), to drive daily role success.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS
IN THREE MONTHS

Successfully build relationship and partnership with your designated Client Team leads, Staffing Strategist teams, and cross functional partners

Develop a comprehensive understanding of client needs, expectations, and existing staff plans

Begin advising and collaborating with client teams on fulfillment timelines and role expectations, ensuring timely and accurate staffing solutions

Start monitoring and tracking fulfillment activities, ensuring alignment with initial client demands

Operate effectively on all internal tracking systems
IN SIX MONTHS

Actively participate and lead Client lead meetings and contribute to strategic discussions related to staffing and resource allocation

Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to address client needs promptly and effectively
IN 12 MONTHS

Lead initiatives to further optimize staffing plans and enhance client outcomes based on data-driven insights

Successfully manage complex staffing challenges, demonstrating adaptability and strategic thinking

Act as a trusted advisor to client teams, providing strategic recommendations and guidance on staffing and resource allocation

Demonstrate a track record of successfully fulfilling staff plans and meeting or exceeding KPI targets consistently
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ROLE
Demand

Aligned to a book of business, agency, and/or group of accounts

Advise client teams on fulfillment timelines to ensure client readiness and success

Advise client teams on roles expectations and recommendations against staff plans

Own and drive data accuracy used for Workforce Planning

Pivot between fulfilment channels and understand skills needed to plan client strategies (Talent Acquisition/ Contracting/Resource Management)
Supply

Collaborate with client teams to ensure Staff Plans are accurate and always maintained

Works to assemble and optimize the best possible team for our clients
Fulfillment

Ensure the fulfillment of staff plans across internal and external supply

Simplify client team interactions; facilitating and aggregating all needs between our Resource Management and Talent Acquisition functions (including contract & offshore needs)

As the capability evolves, partner with Workforce Planning to provide client demand input to shape current & future demand predictions and strategies
Execution & Monitoring

Act as a central point of contact for client teams, simplifying communication and ensuring clarity in staffing requirements

Continuously assess and refine the staffing fulfillment process to enhance efficiency, minimize bottlenecks, and improve the overall client experience

Monitor and track the progress of fulfillment activities, ensuring alignment with the client's needs and strategic goals

Utilize data and analytics to measure the effectiveness of the fulfillment plan, making data-driven decisions to optimize staffing levels
