Group Services Senior Finance Business Partner - 12 Month FTC

This is an exciting opportunity to ensure that finance is at the heart of the decision making across our Corporate Service functions. This post offers the opportunity to work across a diverse portfolio, leading finance support to key stakeholders via the provision of astute commercial insights and financial information. The Finance Business Partner will challenge business owners in a consultative fashion in addition to owning the monthly close, forecasting and budgeting processes

What You'll Do:

  • Management Information – Overseeing Management Information delivery, responsible for all aspects of reporting, budgeting and forecasting, with the aim of continuous improvement of Control Risks’ commercial performance
  • Management Information – Own the global headcount financial reporting model for Corporate Functions – ensuring that data from HR is accurate, combined with budget holder information on Joiners / Movers / Leavers.
  • Management Information – Delivering timely, accurate and clearly communicated financial management information and analysis, making full use of available data and analytics tools, to support recommendations to drive efficiency and effectiveness through value added insight and advice
  • Management Information – Producing MI packs for senior leadership consumption and hold 1:1s with budget holders to ensure owners are fully briefed on financial performance (including risks & opportunities).
  • Management Information – Managing the quarterly forecasting cycle, working with budget holders to provide short and longer term accurate forecasts underpinned by robust data and trend analysis.
  • Relationships – Partner the IT (DTS), Marketing, Legal, HR and Finance functions - building and maintaining key relationships whilst better understanding commercial and operational drivers.
  • Marketing, HR, Legal & Finance – manage monthly Global Reporting, consolidating Regional actuals and forecasts to provide full transparency of these decentralised teams.
  • Line management of Financial Analyst, reviewing output and providing ongoing coaching and development.
  • Working closely with business owners to create an inspiring team environment with a culture of open communication.
  • Fixed asset accounting – ensure that accounting treatment of OPEX/CAPEX is accurate on an ongoing basis. On a monthly basis, ensure that CAPEX costs are captured in the relevant asset.
  • Manage the internal financial controls to establish and maintain a robust environment.

Requirements

Who You Are:

Essential

  • Holds a recognised accountancy qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA). Required
  • Functional expertise: Minimum 5 years of related financial, industry experience with demonstration of analytic and information driven experiences
  • Relevant Financial Planning and Analysis experience required
  • Experience with information systems and related tools for staging and deploying information
  • Experience with tools like Power BI (data processing and programming languages a plus)
  • Excellent computer skills (MS Word, PowerPoint and Excel expertise a must)

  • Strong understanding of accounting principles

  • Systems experience with Tagetik and Microsoft Dynamics or similar ERP system such as SAP
