We are looking for a Group Internal Audit Director to add value to and support Qualco Group by evaluating and improving the effectiveness of internal controls, through the implementation of an independent and objective assurance and consulting services.
Responsibilities:
- Develops Annual audit plans covering all types of risks, business lines and operations across all Group entities;
- Leads the execution of the Annual Audit Plans, including setting the framework for establishing scope and objectives, timelines, resources and project monitoring;
- Lead and manage the internal audit team by mentoring and providing guidance to staff, fostering professional growth, and ensuring the efficient execution of audit engagements;
- Develop and implement comprehensive audit methodologies, policies, and standards to ensure consistency, accuracy, and high-quality outcomes in all audit activities;
- Advises on the design and implementation of business operations and reviews policies and procedures, in accordance with internal audit standards, applicable laws and regulations;
- Ensures that internal audit practices are implemented consistently across Group’s Companies to promote objectivity, independence and quality, escalates significant issues and manages their resolution;
- Manages the provision of timely and adequate reporting to the Group Audit Committee;
- Provides advice to management on critical business projects upon request;
- Collaborates with internal control functions (e.g. risk, compliance, legal, information security, financial controls) to ensure an adequate approach to risk and control management and a systematic evaluation of Group’s Internal Control System;
- Ensuring that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements and supporting the continued implementation of the Group Anti-Bribery and Corruption Policy.
Requirements
To be considered you must have:
- At least 10 years of extensive experience in the field of Internal Auditing, accompanied by the relevant Professional Qualifications (e.g. CIA, CFE, CRMA, CISA);
- Member in the Internal Auditors Registry of the Economic Chamber of Greece;
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Auditing, Business administration or a related discipline;
- An MBA or Master of Science in a relevant field such as Economics or Internal Auditing would be considered an asset;
- Expert knowledge of leading practices and developments in the internal audit field relating to the technology sector and services;
- Experience in managing operational risk factors and embedding them in the design of business operations;
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and sound judgement and experience to present balanced findings and make convincing and persuasive recommendations that have impact;
- Flexible to travel.
