$3000 Hiring Bonus! As a Shift Supervisor, you will be responsible for the overall supervision of direct support staff and coordination of all aspects of the assigned shift within the group home. On top of providing direct care support, you will also be responsible to assist with interviews and hiring, scheduling, training, and other administrative responsibilities related to staff or the resident's care plan. You will play a crucial role in supporting the resident's independence and development.

Benefits and Compensation
The starting pay for this position is $40,000/year and increases with education and experience.
This role is full-time and eligible for health benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, paid time off, and a 403B retirement account. PTO is frontloaded upon hire and starts accruing immediately.
Schedule
Generally, works varied PM Shifts with varying weekends shifts. The PM Shift Supervisor may be expected to work extended hours or within a flexible schedule to help cover AM/PM/NOC shifts when needed.
What You'll Do
Supervision of Staff
- Completes interviews in a timely manner and hires according to ChildServe guidelines.
- Ensures adequate training and development of staff by coordinating with therapists, site supervisors, nurses and training department to ensure necessary training, as well as assuring staff attend mandatory trainings to achieve minimum annual training requirements.
- Writes and presents staff performance appraisals in accordance with ChildServe guidelines.
- Monitors documentation and data gathering to assure client records are maintained.
- Monitors staff performance and documents contacts as appropriate.
- Secures replacement staff to ensure proper staff to resident ratio.
- Completes all staff schedules in a timely manner.
- Monitors and updates timecards to ensure accuracy and signs off at end of pay period in accordance with ChildServe.
Supervision of Care
- Assures resident activities, schedules and Care Plans are followed and conflicts are addressed.
- Conducts care audits to ensure appropriate staff and child interaction.
- Attends annual care plan meetings and IPR's. and ensures that RAs are present.
- Assures that the healthcare needs of children are being met.
- Must be able to successfully attain Certified Med Aid Certificate.
- Must be able to successfully attain Chauffers License.
- Assures equipment specific to each resident is sent to school/returned from school or the QMRP is notified in the event of broken/missing equipment.
- Ensures necessary supplies, i.e. food, medical, and cleaning supplies are maintained in assigned areas and are available to staff.
What You'll Need
- Education: 2-year associate degree in human services, early childhood, or child development required. May substitute equivalent training experience for years of education. Preference for CNA/CMA certifications.
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year experience in ICF DD or working closely with children. Preference for prior supervisory or coordination experience.
- Ability to communicate effectively in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
- Must be willing/able to become an approved driver for ChildServe.
- Certified Medication Aide (CMA), Medication Manager, or Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certifications helpful.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs, be mobile within the assigned work area, and frequently bend, lift, reach, and stand.
