We are looking for Groom Artist to create hair, fur and/or feather grooms for characters and creatures in high end VFX film projects.
Responsibilities:
- The creation of hair/fur/feather grooms for characters and creatures using Framestore's proprietary grooming tools
- Close liaison with Creature FX simulation TDs over the requirements for dynamics, and the layout of guide hairs
- Liaison with other departments involved in the creature workflow - Modelling, Rigging, Animation and Lighting
- Producing render tests of the groom as it progresses
- Meeting set schedules and deadlines while maintaining the highest standards
- Regularly communicating with Production and Leads regarding schedules and deadlines
