Green Camp is an innovative program within AYANA Resort Bali that aims to educate and inspire especially young participants to become environmental leaders. Through hands-on activities, workshops, and immersive experiences, Green Camp empowers youth to make a positive impact on the environment and communities around them.
We are seeking a highly responsible, dedicated, enthusiastic, eco-friendly, and caring lead facilitators that oversee Green Camp participants from ages 7 - 12 and maintain good communication with their families as well. In this role, you will be responsible in planning, execution, and review of the Green Camp programs, ensuring that participants have a transformative and unforgettable experience. This roll will also be responsible for ensuring excellent safety standards and a high-quality experience during all Green Camp programs.
You must have a passion for working with children and commit to environmental education.
Summaries of Responsibilities:
- To ensure that all the activities run following the standards, policy, and procedure to ensure children safety and guest satisfaction
- Ensure all guests/ participants and their families are greeted in warm and professional manner to create first impression and memorable experience for our guests
- Maintain complete knowledge of the participant (such as any allergies, medical history, etc.) and activities and proper training based on the activities scheduled
- To maintain all the equipment are clean, neat, immaculate and it’s safety, ready prior to the activities started
- To take a lead in facilitating, coordinating, and delivering outdoor education programs as well as meeting the learning outcomes of the programs
- To ensure daily snacks, lunch and drinking water are timely prepared based on the number participants
- in charge of ensuring that all billing and payment processes are properly executed in collaboration with the Guest Activities team to guarantee accurate settlement
- Co-design, write/develop sessions curriculum
- Communicate and liaise with inquiries from parents, agents, and Ayana through various correspondence
- To contribute to, to comply with, all safeguarding policies and standard operating procedures
- Maintain accurate records and reflections on campers' attendance, behavior, and progress
- To work flexibly including some evenings and weekends coverage.
- To facilitate activity sessions in such a way that all participants feel valued, safe, and part of a team.
- To deliver a wide range of outdoor programs including team building, climbing, swimming, high ropes, river activities, hiking, biking, etc.
- Supervise and assure physical/emotional safety of all participants
- Demonstrate ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Demonstrate commitment, reliability, punctuality, and responsible behavior
- To seek and build positive relationships with groups of both young learners from the age of 7 to 12 y.o and family
- Conduct daily line up and team briefing
- Monitor and maintain the setup, venue and cleanliness of area and storage based on the standard
- Preparing monthly report for Green Camps participants report accordingly
- Attending the meeting if needed and the training programs based on the schedule
- Accurately communicate with other related departments for any request or activities that coordinate with another team/department
Requirements
- Only for Indonesian Citizen
- Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in teaching/facilitation experience either indoors or outdoors. Experience working as a teacher is an advantage, particularly with children (kindergarten, playgroup, montessori, etc.)
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with other educators, facilitators, and stakeholders to achieve common goals
- High interest in and knowledge of the natural world and sustainability that align with eco-friendly principles
- Highly enthusiastic and responsible person committed to teaching adults, youth, and children
- Flexibility to work in the different sections of Guest Activities during periods when Green Camp is not in operation
- Flexibility to attend trainings outside the resort
- Ability to combine creativity and leadership
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Physically fit and dependable, able to work long hours with groups of students in nature
- Eloquent in English communication in both written and spoken. Knowledge of additional languages is an advantage
- Certified CPR, First Aid, or AED is a plus
- Diploma in Education, Communication, Science/Environmental Science, English Literature, or other relevant fields Bachelor's degree is desirable; advanced degrees or certifications in facilitation or instructional design are a plus
