THE TEAM:

The purpose of the Business Solutions Team (BSM) is to support the Kinexus Group family of subsidiaries, utilizing a “Team of Teams” approach. Centering business as the customer, the team is focused on building an ecosystem of resources that support business needs and improve the overall supply of readily available talent for employers.

WHAT WE EXPECT FROM YOU: 

The Business Solutions Grant Coordinator will support the Business Solutions Team to apply for and manage grant funded programs that support the needs of our employers and the demand driven strategy of the organization. The grant coordinator will provide internal support to the team, handling the administrative components of all workforce grants, while also working across internal KG operations to ensure we remain compliant with program requirements and funder requests.  

The primary responsibility of this position is to improve the operational capacity and effectiveness of the Business Solutions Team, through effective management of workforce grant funding. The Business Service Coordinator will implement continuous improvement processes to assist with activities such as - data tracking, grant management, performance reporting and spending down of funding in a timely manner.  The coordinator will work across a range of projects simultaneously, supporting colleagues as needed, while also ensuring excellent customer service and timely resolution to employer requests.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage internal processes to ensure efficient and timely spend down of funding allocation.
• Manage grant compliance activities in partnership with internal teams and funders.
• Manage internal processes to effectively administer grants in accordance with grant rules.
• Displays a continuous improvement mindset
• Work with BSM’s and training partners to collect reimbursement documentation.
• Review spreadsheets, invoices, certificates of completion, payroll documentation, etc. for reimbursement eligibility.
• Maintain files electronically in various websites and hard copies.
• Document communication with employers in Salesforce database.
• Other duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES: 

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience maintaining confidentiality of wages, critical, or sensitive materials/issues.
• Experience gathering, organizing, and verifying financial information with accuracy and within deadlines.
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
• Effective written and oral communicator.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel, databases, and websites.
• Business, Grant administration, human resources, recruiting/talent acquisition, training coordination, or accounting experience; and
• Strong collaboration within a team environment.
• Experience using Salesforce.com
