Join our trusted partner client and embark on an exciting journey through their In-House Academy Program for Protection Insurance Advisors!

Position: Graduate Trainee Protection Insurance Adviser
Location: Swansea
Salary: Competitive, with opportunities for bonuses and financial support for qualifications
Duration: 12-24 months+ (flexible, depending on progress and experience)

About the Role

Our client is committed to equipping individuals with the knowledge and skills they need to excel as Protection Insurance Advisors. This program combines on-the-job training with academic study, offering you the opportunity to apply your learning directly in real-world client situations.

Program Structure

  • On-the-Job Training (OJT):
Induction (0-3 months): Learn about our operations, protection insurance products, and regulatory requirements (FCA, GDPR). Work closely with a mentor to shadow real client interactions and practice with simulations.
Development Phase (4-12 months): Engage directly with clients, build your portfolio, and handle more complex queries related to life insurance, critical illness cover, and income protection.
Advanced Phase (13-24 months): Manage client portfolios independently, offering tailored insurance solutions and collaborating with senior advisers on high-net-worth and complex cases.
  • Academic Pursuit:
Year 1 (6-12 months): Focus on completing the core qualifications essential for protection insurance advisers. Candidates will achieve the R01 (Financial Services, Regulation & Ethics) and R05 (Financial Protection) qualifications through full financial support for courses, study materials, and exams.
Years 2 and 3 (12-36 months): For more ambitious and talented candidates, progress toward achieving the full Certificate in Insurance and potentially the Diploma in Insurance. These advanced qualifications cover a broader range of insurance products, governance, and law, with structured support and financial backing.
