The Role:

We are excited to reintroduce our highly successful Graduate Intelligence Analyst Programme, which has seen past participants quickly develop into key contributors to our team.

We have four entry level opportunities available for people looking to start their career in Intelligence Analysis. The Intelligence Analyst programme is an opportunity to apply and develop your problem solving and analytical skills, whilst gaining significant insight into the field of intelligence. At Prevail, you will apply the skills that you have developed either through your recent studies, professional exposure, or personal research and learning to solve one of our client’s most interesting and intricate problems. This will be through a mix of structured training programmes and on-the-job learning, rotating through different teams with different problem sets with a dedicated Mentor Analyst to help you raise your abilities to the next level. 

The Opportunity: 

Phase 1: Introduction 

12-week training programme including structured lessons, rotations through project teams with live operations and deliverables, exposure to the supporting functions (e.g, Geospatial and Data) 

Phase 2: The role 

You will join one of the teams on a 3-month probationary period as a Graduate Intelligence Analyst to apply your training with support of your peers and manager with the intention to remain within Prevail post probation.  

Application Process: 

  • Application: Submit your CV and a cover letter detailing your relevant knowledge (formal or self-study) and how it supports your career aspirations in Intelligence. Complete the accompanying questions. 
  • Initial Screen: A 30-minute video call with a team member to discuss your understanding of the role, your aspirations, and an introduction to Prevail. 
  • Second Stage: A 30-minute video call to discuss a thematic question, which will be provided in advance. 
  • Final Stage: A 1-hour, in-person interview featuring a case study. You'll choose a subject to present for 10 minutes, followed by questions from the team. 

Requirements

Essential criteria: 

  • Either a recent university graduate with a predicted or confirmed 2:1 or above; a professional who is actively looking for a career change into Intelligence and has proven self-study and research in a related field. 
  • An understanding of Open-Source Intelligence (OSINT) collection, tools and analysis. 
  • Willingness to learn, innovate, and contribute. A proactive mindset that seeks to not only absorb new information but also challenge existing processes. Candidates should be eager to contribute fresh ideas, improve workflows, and drive positive change while collaborating effectively within the team. 
  • Strong understanding of current affairs, geopolitical trends, and national security issues. Demonstrated ability to analyse global events, international relations, and security threats, and assess their potential impact on intelligence operations and decision-making. 
  • Must be able to achieve at least SC security clearance. (have been in the UK for the last 5 years, pass vetting that includes nationality and immigration status, employment history, unspent criminal records check, departmental records, a security questionnaire (providing personal data), checking against criminal records, credit reference check, Security Service Record Check.) 
  • Able to start full-time work on 14th January 2025 
  • Able to commute and work daily on-site in a Central London office.  
  • Able to work shifts in a team providing 24/7 monitoring.  
  • Strong IT literacy including the MS Office Suite.  
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion. Given the nature of intelligence work, professionalism and respect for confidentiality are critical. 

Candidates with the below will be prioritised: 

  • Foreign language skills; with a preference for French, Russian, Arabic, Farsi 
  • Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) for presenting intelligence findings.
  • Experience in analysing large datasets, identifying trends, and drawing actionable intelligence insights. Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, or Python is a plus.
