Government Programs Associate

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Government Programs Associate or Senior Government Programs Associate to join our growing team. In this critical role, you will play a key part in securing government funding for our innovative battery and electrolyte technologies. You will report to our Head of Government Operations. You will draft grant applications and contribute to the end-to-end grant application and management process. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with a technical background, grant writing experience, and a passion for supporting national security and technological advancement.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Work collaboratively with engineers and scientists to gather technical capabilities and translate them into clear and concise proposals.
  • Perform strategic financial market analysis for grant submissions.
  • Research and identify relevant government funding opportunities (DoD, DOE, Intelligence Community) aligned with our technology and product development goals.
  • Assist with proposal submissions, budget development, post-submission communication, and post-award reporting and tracking.
  • Utilize learnings from government activities to contribute to Anthro's product and commercial strategy
  • Provide as-needed support to the technical team on government-funded projects, ensuring adherence to deadlines and budget constraints.
  • Stay up to date on relevant government funding policies and program priorities.

Qualifications

  • B.S or advanced degree in Science, Engineering, Public Policy, or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in grant writing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical information for non-technical audiences.
  • Solid analytical and research skills, experience with financial modeling or techno-economic analysis a plus
  • A strong attention to detail and accuracy is essential.
  • Proven track record of successfully securing government grants is a plus (e.g., DoD, DOE, CEC).
  • Strong understanding of federal and state grant writing processes and regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.

Additional Skills (Desirable)

  • Experience with battery and electrolyte technologies.
  • Familiarity with national security priorities and the role of advanced energy storage solutions.
  • Interest or experience in public policy related to clean energy or national security.
