We offer a recent graduate student the chance of an “on the job” experience [beroepsinlevingsstage/BIS] in the world of government affairs, while obtaining in-depth knowledge about certain EU policy areas as well as getting yourself familiar in the “Brussels bubble”.

Tasks of the trainee

  • Monitoring legislative files and preparation of short reports, mainly but not only, in the areas of Decarbonization, Circular Economy, Trade etc. Through this the trainee will learn how to write concise reports.
  • Ensure network with stakeholders by following up contact (mails, phone, meetings)
  • Join external events to collect info and report back the key outcomes internally. Hereby the trainee will learn to identify what items to report and learn broad scanning via obtaining the various stakeholders’ viewpoint.
  • Support in general organizational and administrative tasks.
  • Very good spoken and written English.
  • Studies with a focus on political / European studies or similar
  • Basic knowledge of the EU decision-making processes and willingness to learn more
  • Communication and project management skills
  • Excellent use of Microsoft Office software
  • Eligible to work in Belgium

This is a paid voluntary internship [BIS]. DENSO offers suitable compensation.

Start:

September/October 2024, length 6 months.
