Partner with clients to understand their location-based needs and design solutions using the Google Maps Platform (GMP) suite of tools (Maps, Places, Directions, etc.).
Develop and implement high-quality, user-friendly map applications using various APIs and SDKs.
Integrate GMP with other technologies to create seamless user experiences.
Optimize map applications for performance and scalability.
Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients throughout the development lifecycle.
Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in the Google Maps Platform and related technologies.
Collaborate effectively with designers, developers, and other team members to achieve project goals.
Proven experience developing applications using the Google Maps Platform (2+ years). Strong understanding of web development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript).
Familiarity with various GMP APIs and SDKs (Maps JavaScript API, Places API, Directions API, etc.).
Experience with integrating GMP with backend technologies (optional, but a plus).
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Passionate about location-based technologies and their potential to enhance user experiences.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with web mapping frameworks (e.g., Leaflet, OpenLayers).
Knowledge of geospatial data formats (e.g., GeoJSON, KML).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure).
Experience with mobile development (iOS/Android) for integrating maps into mobile apps.
