GOAT CAMPAIGN MANAGER  

JOB DESCRIPTION  

REPORTING TO: Head of Goat (in future as the team grows to the Head of Campaign Management)  

The role will focus on delivering end-to-end campaign management for brands working with Goat. The  

role will help with the growth of Goat which aims to support our agencies in broadcasting their clients’  

messages via content and Influencer Marketing channels, which we deliver at scale.  

As a Goat Campaign Manager, you will work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure that  

our proposals and campaigns meet the highest standards, are competitive and communicate GOAT’s  

capabilities, offerings and value in the best possible light.  

LEADING AND SUPPORTING ON CAMPAIGNS  




Successfully lead individual campaigns up to the value of R350,000  

Successfully provide support on campaigns to campaign leads up to the value of R1,400,000  

Demonstrable ability to be in control of at least 7 successful campaigns simultaneously (this might mean  

you’ll 'report' on some of these and 'leading' some of these. Start to work on overseeing more of the  

activity happening across the accounts you work on.  







Be able to effectively answer questions from people in the team to help guide decisions that are being  

made.  

Ensure SOWs and briefs are understood, campaigns are running smoothly, and discuss priorities and  

targets in an effective way.  

Identify problems on a campaign and, if not solvable, immediately bring to the attention of someone  

senior  

Support Account Managers with influencer and campaign matters on client calls, and always be  

confident in your approach.  

Successfully Discover influencers for the campaigns that are briefed into Goat – always ensuring that  

you understand what the client wants and will be happy with.  

Make sure budgets are being managed effectively throughout the campaign, ensuring that whether we  

are replacing influencers or adding new ones, we do so ensuring that we remain within client budget  

and that the target margin is a prominent thought continuously  


Having the foresight to make drastic changes to a campaign approach/mechanic based on live  

campaign data (in consultation with the paid media team, if applicable)  

INFLUENCER RELATIONS  


Keep up with influencer marketing and social trends to be referenced in campaign proposals and  

strategies  



Be active on social media, namely: Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn and X  

Successfully be able to read and interpret an influencer campaign brief

Successfully write and relay influencer briefs in detail to an influencer or their management team during  

the onboarding and negotiation process.  

Successfully perform outreach to influencers/influencer Talent Managers in full detail without support,  

ensuring these are concise but include all relevant SOW details.  

Successfully, build a good rapport with influencers/talent agencies with an understanding of the benefits  

of these relationships within the industry.  



Successfully communicate the Goat sign-up process  

Successfully communicate the data-driven positioning of Goat to influencers and their management  

teams  





Confidently negotiating influencer fees and be fully confident in knowing influencer value in relation to  

the objectives of the campaign.  

Manage influencer relationships to ensure content is correct and distributed in line with the campaign  

schedule and be able to find solutions if these deadlines are not met.  

Manage campaign deliverables throughout the lifetime of the campaign, all the way through to reporting  

and payments  

Manage all influencer comms and queries throughout the lifetime of the campaign, all the way through  

to reporting and payments  

REPORTING AND ANALYSIS  




Provide very succinct updates to account managers, paid media and line manager for input into  

campaign report(s)  

To be able to share your learnings about influencers we have used in line with campaign performance  

(to inform GOAT IBEX).  

Performance metrics such as CPM, Engagement Rate and Reach should drive every influencer  

decision. Be able to report effectively to the client and identify which influencers are performing best.  

Have a top-level understanding of how we are running paid media across the accounts you work across.  

Have a good understanding of how your paid activity is performing. Your organic and paid sections of  

a campaign should create the overall campaign that you are leading.  



STRATEGY AND KEY SKILLS  




Lead proposals from the campaign side, using understanding of campaign deliverables, how to buy  

content from influencers in a profitable way, and support the Strategy team with bringing ideas to life  

Be aware of upselling opportunities across campaigns you are working on, bringing them to the  

attention of Account Managers  

Be fully competent in writing messaging, influencer captions and/or paid copy for posts & stories to the  

specification of the campaign brief/requirements  

KNOWLEDGE OF DIGITAL PAID MEDIA  



Good knowledge of paid media.  

Certifications on Meta (planning) and TikTok (Planning)

Confidently draft up SOWs and work with Account Managers to resolve incomplete SOWs.  

Share accurate information with Finance on active campaigns and previous campaign audits.  

Ensure Influencers are paid accurately (i.e. VAT and added-value fees) and on time.

Consistently identify industry and platform trends for proactive upsell opportunities  

Have a good knowledge of each sector you work across and an understanding of what performance  

metrics are achievable within it

Understanding client’s needs and how to balance campaign delivery (performance outcomes) vs.  

client happiness  



Provide regular feedback to junior members of your team and take an active interest in their  

performance.  

Take a keen interest in your development, actively seeking out opportunities to learn new skills and  

contribute within the agency. Run training sessions where needed and start to identify where the  

team needs more support.  



Creativity Have a good eye for GOOD creative and what goes into producing high-quality  

content that gets results.  

Professionalism have rigorous attention to detail, be well organized, able to multi-task and  

handle your own time effectively as well as setting clear direction and tasks for Client Success  

Executives, and able to work to deadlines. Understanding and effective use of key business  

systems, and strong Excel and PowerPoint skills.  


Good Communication effective communication with colleagues to ensure successful  

teamwork. Able to explain our product offering in a compelling way to agency colleagues. Able  

to communicate and build relationships with multiple Influencers and Creators in various  

industries simultaneously in a clear and professional manner to deliver a smooth and effective  

campaign.  



Problem Solving - thorough approach to solving problems with resilience and energy. The  

candidate should have a strong sense of initiative and personal ownership and embody a work  

ethic with a “how can we make this happen” mindset.  

Attention to Detail Treat every proposal with the utmost care and respect. Use the correct  

GOAT CI when building a proposal from scratch. Make sure that your font sizes stay consistent  

throughout the proposal deck. Double-check your spelling and only use high-res image  

downloads or screenshots. Take pride in every agency/client facing presentation that you share,  

ensuring a high level of professionalism and consistency at all times.
