Purpose of the role:
You’ll be responsible for the smooth operations and running of IT systems for the business.
Working with the Head of IT and the Global Systems Administrator you’ll help design, implement, manage and maintain infrastructure solutions for both client-facing IT software and platforms.
Your responsibilities won’t be limited to the outlined below as working as part of a small team you’ll get involved in every aspect of the companies’ IT based needs.
What you will be doing:
- Administration of server infrastructure to ensure efficiency of services to the business.
- Working with our development team and the IT support team, build and improve workflows to complement our agile development environment.
- Act as bridge between the IT team and the Development team
- Understand and implement best practice in security and compliance within our team and applications that are supported.
- Ensure comprehensive monitoring and reporting, reporting back to senior management on a regular basis.
- Help with administration of server infrastructure (both Azure and On-Premise)
- Work with the team to manage and maintain system monitoring solutions.
- Ensure systems remain compliant with company security policies and best practice.
- Plan and administer software and operating system upgrades/patch-management for servers.
- Work with team to install and configure network related hardware
- Keep up to date knowledge on latest technology standards and security matters.
- Maintain and update documentation for server infrastructure.
- Training support team members to take on systems tasks and report back to systems administrator.
- Integrate information technologies into the company for optimal effectiveness and comply with current regulations.
- Work with team to deploy and maintain Hyper-V server hardware, M365 platform and other key platforms as needed
Requirements
- Experience with Networking / Server Infrastructure, setting up and managing Infrastructure
- Proven track record of working across all levels of user, capturing requirements and recommending/implementing appropriate technical solutions
- Confident in implementing proposed technical solutions to multiple customers
- Firewall and good background knowledge of networking
- Knowledge of AWS Cloud Services would be beneficial
- Experience in managing and configuring SSO
- Experience with Microsoft M365/Azure Active Directory
- Hyper-V / VMware /Azure VM implementation (Configuration, Migrations & Installations)
