Job Purpose
The Product Line Champion is responsible for providing technicial, applications & operational support for our Industrial Pumps and Multiplex Pumps product line to both internal and external clients on a global basic, primarily to promote and grow our Industrial Pumps portfolio which will evolve to cover all Industrial Pumps products and solutions. In addition to understanding the clients requirements, grow the business by identifying and exploiting market opportunities outside of the oil and gas industries, market trends and competitor activity, maximizing market share and profits, and ensuring customer satisfaction. This role will report to the Global Product Line Director and will support the regional & countries on a technical basis.
Roles & Responsibilities
QUALITY
- Responsible for being familar with the Company's Quality policies and takes an active role in the compliance and improvement of Weatherfords Management System
- Maintains service quality as immediate priorities when working across all areas of the business and continually seeks areas for improvement
- Represents the company and product line's best interest in a professional manner at client or industry meetings. Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating, and Technical Procedures and Workplace Instructions.
- Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
OPERATIONS
- Provides global technical services and application support for products and services to employees within the global product lines, external clients, and other business units within Weatherford
- Responsible for job planning, product knowledge, and availability
- Direct any research and development projects or efforts required in order to create the products and/or services required as per above. Work with RD&E on all ongoing sustaining efforts to progress Product Line products and/or services quality improvement initiatives forward
- Evaluates and prioritizes requests for new technology changes, enchancements, and new features; participates in product requirements through interviews with stackeholder, collaboration with product designers and other methods as needed
- Work wit the Project Management and Engineering teams to implememt feasible solutions that meet the timeline and budget of the stakeholders
- Liase with SMEs in service lines to generate training materials and deployment plans for commercialization; responsible for effectively communicating product features, value proportations, and roadmaps
COMMUNICATION
- Maintains effective communications with all key stakeholders both internal and where appropriate external
- Assist local operations with the introduction and continued support of products/services into the market, including travelling to those locations as required.
- Define and direct specific product strategy by gathering input and business neds form customers and then creating a product-based solution to generate revenue and/or create value
- Resolves conflicts between competing stakeholders by prioritizing requirements and products for development and commercialization; tracks project issues to completion, such as outstanding questions, decisions, or changes
- Provide direct, high-level support to customers for critical new technology services
PEOPLE & DEVELOPMENT
- Develops and drive business opportunities by assessing and creating distribution channels to expand equipment sales.
- Provide operational technical support for all globally active operations to ensure tools are run within specification and following best practies and lessons learned
- Maintains the Global Product Line’s training requirements in line with competency assessments
VISION & LEADERSHIP
- Provides input to Product Line Management on product request and development.
- Demontrates leadership, ethical behaviour and adherence to Weatherford standards at all times
- Leads product training to Global Sales representatives in order to ensure alignment with Weatherford standards
Travel Requirement:
This role may require domestic and potentially international travel of up to: 25-50%
REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Scientific discipline or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of oilfield experience is preferred, and or/similar experience as a SME in other industries
- 5+ years of experience in Industrial Pumps/Multiplex Pumps
PREFERRED
- Experience in Sales and Marketing
