The Global Process Owner (GPO) for Record to Report (R2R) will lead NIQ’s global R2R processes and be a key member of the Finance Operations Global leadership team. This role focuses on driving standardization, policy, procedure, optimization, and strategic direction for NIQ’s R2R operations. The GPO will build strong relationships with Finance and business stakeholders to ensure best practices in end-to-end Accounting and R2R processes.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on strategic leader with experience in making rapid, impactful changes to improve R2R operations. She/He will manage process change and optimization projects, own global process designs and standardizations, and align priorities between global and local finance teams. Key goals include identifying and implementing projects that reduce costs, enhance process value, and improve internal controls.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership
- Define the vision, strategy, and governance model for R2R at NIQ.
- Shape and design processes and controls, fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
- Establish and execute plans to drive R2R performance and optimization.
- Ability to drive, influence and deliver key business objectives.
Process Management
- Own and improve global R2R processes from a process and technology perspective.
- Manage business process transformations and oversee key R2R programs across global entities.
- Identify and implement improvement opportunities to enhance R2R metrics.
Collaboration and Stakeholder Management
- Align opportunities and priorities between Finance Operations, global and local NIQ Finance teams, and other functional teams.
- Work closely with the R2R Service Delivery Operations Lead to ensure processes operate as intended.
- Partner with the CAO office and Controllership to design and implement end-to-end Accounting Policies and Procedures.
- Collaborate with the Finance Operations Enablement function (Knowledge Management, L&D team, Reporting and Analytics team).
Innovation and Optimization
- Recommend solutions and consolidate platforms to improve integration and reduce support burden.
- Maintain an up-to-date understanding of best-in-class R2R processes and emerging developments.
- Ensure effective and efficient execution of R2R and general financial accounting processes through cutting-edge automation.
Performance and Reporting
- Set and track KPIs and ensure benefits realization.
- Communicate and collaborate with regional colleagues, providing direction on key processes and changes, sharing best practices, and updating them on global initiatives.
Leadership and Advisory
- Build strong, long-term strategic relationships with stakeholders, partners, and internal functions.
- Demonstrate executive presence and the ability to drive sustainable change in a complex structure.
- Provide advice and support to business and functional leaders on R2R matters.
- Exhibit exemplary leadership skills, driving teams to top-tier performance.
- Work closely with Business Process Outsourcers (BPO)
Qualifications and Skills
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with 15-20 years of experience
- Experience with multinational organizations and familiarity with complex structures.
- Proficient in SAP ERP systems and advanced Excel skills.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS
- Proven track record of process improvement and automation

- Familiarity with direct and indirect tax.
