About the Role:

As a People Partner for our global team working on the Go-to-Market (GTM) strategy, you will play a crucial role in aligning People strategies with business objectives. This position requires a proactive and dynamic individual who can help GTM managers navigate the complexities of managing teams across different time zones (India, Philippines and the US), specifically working with an Indian team operating during US hours.

This is a brand new role that will work closely with all levels of the organization, reporting directly to our Director of People. While Airbase is a remote first employer, this is a new team that will be working from the Bangalore office (US EST hours) for the foreseeable future. This role will also be responsible for the Customer Onboarding and Support team based in the Philippines.

This role is required to be on-site in the Bangalore office. Transportation, snacks and meals will be provided. Working hours are 6 pm IST - 3 am IST (Note: During Daylight Savings hours shift to 5 pm IST - 2 am IST).

What You'll Do:

  • Strategic People Planning: Collaborate with leadership to develop and implement People strategies aligned with the organization’s overall mission and vision.
  • Talent Acquisition and Onboarding: Work closely with the recruitment team to ensure timely hiring and facilitate smooth onboarding processes.
  • Advisory Role: Act as a trusted advisor to the leadership team, managers and employees. Address concerns and foster a positive work environment.
  • Performance Management: Implement performance management systems and processes, provide guidance on performance improvement and career development.
  • Compensation & Benefits: Work with the People Team to ensure competitive and fair compensation; administer and influence benefits, training initiatives etc.
  • Remote Team Management: Support and guide managers in effectively leading globally distributed teams; implement practices that foster collaboration and communication across time zones.

About You:

  • 8+ years of experience as an HR Business Partner with some global experience preferred.
  • Proven experience as an HR Business Partner collaborating with GTM / CS teams based in India and/or Philippines working US hours.
  • Strong understanding of India labor laws and familiarity with US working culture.
  • Passionate about people and creating an inclusive culture where everyone can thrive.
  • Energized by building - you’ll be joining a small team and helping us build our foundational People programs so demonstrated project management experience is a must.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast moving & changing environment and provide clarity in ambiguous situations.

Note: This role requires flexibility in working hours to accommodate the time-zone difference between India and the US. The successful candidate should be comfortable working US hours.
