Data Engineer - Manager, GroupM Nexus Global Team, India

As the People Teams Data Engineer you will design, builds, and maintain the infrastructure and architecture that stores, process, and retrieve large datasets, ensuring data quality, security, and scalability.
Working closely with data professionals, business leaders, and data scientists, you will leverage data to drive excellence and support our organizational goals.
REPORTING OF THE ROLE
This role reports to the Global People Data & Analytics Director and will require the support of regional, team members to execute the data and analytics strategy.
MEASURES OF SUCCESS:
IN THREE MONTHS

Partner with technical and non-technical teams to understand data and develop data pipelines with advance Azure Data Factory (Delta Live Tables, SQL/Python, Rest API) and maintain Data Warehousing/Data Lakes/Data Hubs and analytical reporting environment

Design table structures and define ETL strategy to build performant Data solutions that are reliable and scalable in a growing data ecosystem
IN SIX MONTHS

Develop and maintain data pipeline routines using ETL and orchestration tools (such as Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, Data Stage, Airflow, Luigi, and Jenkins)
IN 12 MONTHS

Agile development methodology
-
5+ years in data engineering, software engineering, or related field

Experience with large-scale data systems and big data technologies

Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL processes

Experience with cloud-based data platforms and services

Strong programming skills in languages such as Java, Python, or Scala

Experience with data governance, security, and quality control

Strong collaboration and communication skills
