TEAM OVERVIEW
The Treasury Department supports global teams of the KKR brand across all business lines, support functions, regions and various vendors associated with KKR. A successful candidate will have the ability to execute projects, assess risk, determine root causes, recommend solutions, and build strong relationships across all levels of seniority within the firm. KKR's Treasury team partners with key internal and external stakeholders to ensure business continuity, add value, protect the firm, and improve the efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes. The position is based in our Gurugram location.
POSITION SUMMARY
This is a new role created as part of the Treasury Platform Operations (“TPO”) that is newly formed within the Global Treasury team in KKR. The successful candidate will play will play a critical role in partnering across regions to deliver best in class service and an institutionalized Treasury operating platform.
Responsibilities
- Creation and maintenance of User Access, Bank Accounts, Wire Templates and Contact Management within the Treasury Management System (TMS).
- Partner with technology to deliver key foundational infrastructure projects for the Treasury team
- Execute Daily reconciliation and monitor reports, ensuring compliance and adhere to KKR callback and Wire Instruction Policy is maintained
- Partner with KKR deal team, counsel and Tax to open bank accounts for APAC/EMEA and
- Develop relationships with Banking partners across all regions and streamline processes
- Policy and Governance Tool Development
- Using systems to upkeep banking data, and using visualization tools to present meaningful data to monitor treasury activities
- Identify value creation opportunities and regularly participates and contributes to new process developments
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new TMS software and other critical treasury technology
- Partner with Engineering, TPO colleagues globally and Global Treasury & Security Settlements team members to extract, transform and load new sources of treasury data
- Understand best practices in treasury activities, and ensure treasury functions are in compliance with treasury policies and internal controls
- Using systems to upkeep banking data, and using visualization tools to present meaningful data to monitor treasury activities
- Identify value creation opportunities and regularly participates and contributes to new process developments
- Contribute to the development and implementation of new TMS software and other critical treasury technology
Risk Mitigation and Change Agent
- Risk mindset – identify operational risks and offer solutions to mitigate through process developments
- Control framework – drive best practice across the function and ensure processes are robust, documented, reviewed periodically and followed
- Technology – embrace technology and identify opportunities where technology can be leveraged to drive efficiency, allows scalability to the platform and to mitigate risk
- Efficiency – find marginal gains which will allow the team to organically increase capacity and allow it to focus on the high value add activities
Team & Stakeholders
- Internal teams – cultivate positive working relationships across the KKR business, mainly with Global Fund Finance and Operation functions and deliver excellence through active collaboration
- Third party stakeholders – establish and maintain working relationships with a range of banks and financial institutions. Focus on ensuring that value is delivered and deadlines are met
Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- 2 -5 years of experience/exposure in working in a high volume data environment
- Knowledge of banking & Treasury data is a strong plus
- Knowledge in Treasury Management System is helpful, g. Gtreasury, Hazeltree, Kyriba, etc.
- Has experience and strong understanding of Treasury
- Strong IT aptitude, with a demonstrable knowledge of data analysis, reporting and management
- Demonstrable experience in driving change and challenging the status quo
