TEAM OVERVIEW

KKR’s Global Market Operations team is comprised of the Client Services Team (CST), Treasury, Private Market Operations, Data Operations, and Global Credit Investment Operations teams. Overall, the Global Market Operations team is responsible for ensuring compliance and best practices for treasury activities, implementation of technology for process improvements, and identifying value creation opportunities. The team also liaises with clients, internal stakeholders, and team members to effectively and accurately communicate relevant issues and solutions.

POSITION SUMMARY

KKR is building out an enterprise Data Operations group to collect, manage, and harness the power of data across our diverse business activities. The Data Operations Center of Excellence (CoE) is a cross functional team including analysts and engineers dedicated to formulating & driving KKR’s enterprise data management strategy while also providing the operating leverage required to bring these strategies/ frameworks to life. The Data Ops CoE will consist of 3 focus areas (pillars); Data Governance, Data Quality and Data Delivery.

We are hiring a data delivery member to partner with business teams and the head of data delivery to identify critical data reporting/ analytics use-cases and work closely alongside other technical colleagues to design & deliver sustainable and extensible analytics & reporting capabilities, with an emphasis on enabling self-service across the firm. This individual will also play a strong role in the curation of data-sets to be published for data exploration and self-service through this central data platform, helping establish a standardized & accessible enterprise data model. Lastly, the data delivery team will leverage the central data platform to directly deliver advanced data & analytics use-cases for our business partners.

The ideal candidate would have experience delivering on data intensive use cases within a hands-on technical role. 

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Excellence

  • Develop reporting suites and partner with various parties across business/ops/engineering to deliver insights and operational oversight.
  • Curate data-sets across domains (‘Data Products’) to be published in the central data platform for end-user exploration & access; working closely with Data Governance colleagues to ensure data-sets meet standards for publication
  • Understand and document data and use case requirements for a variety of business needs
  • Create and maintain reporting functionality as per business needs
  • Execute and manage ad hoc data related projects within specified deadlines

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with platform engineering teams to support and make recommendations for enhanced digital reporting capabilities and data platform tools
  • Communicate and work closely with relevant teams to close data gaps in a clear and timely manner
  • Serve as point of contact for data-related questions and updates from various internal and external groups, delivering ad-hoc analytics to answer key business questions in a timely manner

Reporting & Governance

  • Design and document standard operating procedures for data management
  • Implement and own best in class data governance practices; ensuring that data is well defined & transparently documented

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience required
  • 1-3 years of data intensive experience in financial services
  • Experience in a multinational Financial Services organization and/or Private Equity preferred
  • Experience working with complex data sets
  • Ability to adhere to the compliance requirements of processes
  • Advanced data visualization capabilities using a tool such as PowerBI or Tableau
  • Extremely strong data technical SQL skills with ability to model and query tabular data
  • Displays high attention to detail
