POSITION OVERVIEW
KKR is seeking to hire Leveraged Credit Closer supporting the KKR Credit Trading Desk, KKR CLO Business, and KCM Capital Markets.
RESPONSIBILITIES
KKR Credit Secondary Trading Desk and KKR CLO Business:
- Work directly with traders, portfolio managers, legal counsel, loan servicing, and treasury on all aspects of the trade closing process while overseeing the outsourcing provider to ensure a smooth settlement process.
- Coordinate corporate actions and amendments on bank loan trades with internal teams and outsourcing provider.
- Partner with Treasury, Legal, Asset Maintenance, Finance, and Compliance, to ensure all trades are settled accurately and all systems are updated accordingly.
- Manage cash forecasting and balance management to maximize economics for over thirty CLOs with aggressive growth projections for the upcoming year. Coordinate with multiple internal parties regarding CLO settlement.
- Work directly with the CLO Structuring and Operations team on new CLO warehouses to ensure borrowing needs are met in conjunction with equity and borrowing base requirements.
- Liaise with Treasury team on managing cash liquidity for aggressive trading on fund balances, including leveraged loans.
- Identify and escalate issues to the front office traders and internal legal counsel.
- Review and understand syndicated credit agreements with specific focus on transfer mechanics.
- Review and negotiate terms of trade on distressed bank loan documentation alongside legal counsel.
KKR Capital Markets Primary Fronting and KLAS Business:
- Work with the deal teams on the deal closing/syndication process by coordinating closings with counterparties, agent banks, internal compliance and finance teams.
- Coordinate and oversee KKR Agented deals with our white label provider.
- Review credit agreements and approve all deal builds by white label provider for the agency business.
- Oversee the processing of daily assignments by monitoring potential position discrepancies.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree plus up to 2 years of bank loan experience.
- General understanding of LSTA Settlements. (i.e., Delayed Compensation, Parties involved in a Loan Trade)
- General understanding of trade life cycle
- Proficiency of ClearPar, Geneva and Allvue/Black Mountain System a plus
- Proficient in Excel, Powerpoint, and Outlook
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
- Ability to multi-task, and oversee a high volume of work
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Eager to learn/curious, self-starter
- Ability to work in a team oriented environment
- Customer service oriented (managing internal and external clients)
- Strong work ethic with the ability to quickly grasp key concepts
