About the Role

The GHS Manager in Controllership will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing controllership activities within our Shared Service Center. This position is responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient financial operations and compliance functions, while driving continuous improvements and standardization across processes. You will lead a team of finance professionals, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and support strategic initiatives to enhance the financial health and performance of the organization.

 

You'll be responsible for

  • Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop a team of finance professionals,
    fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture within the GHS. Also manage resource allocation and workload distribution to ensure efficiency.
  • Financial Operations: Oversee daily controllership functions including general ledger, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting and month-end closing activities, maintaining and enforcing internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure financial accuracy.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to company policies, accounting standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate financial risks.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline processes and enhance operational efficiency, implementing best practices and standardized procedures across the GHS.

 

We are looking for a person who has

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. An advanced degree (MBA, CPA, etc.) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in finance or accounting, with at least 2-3 years in a leadership role within a shared service center or controllership function.
  • Proven track record of successfully managing financial operations and delivering results.
  • Possess project management skills and have led or participated in large-scale financial transformation projects.
  • Are familiar with process automation tools and technologies (e.g., RPA, AI).

Our Nu Way of Working 

Our work model is hybrid and has cycles that can be from two to three months according to the business of ​​expertise. For every eight or twelve weeks of remote work, one will be at the office.
