As the Global Head of Social Media, you’ll have the exciting opportunity to develop and implement a global social media strategy that builds brand awareness, drives engagement, conversion and new followers; and contributes to revenue generation for Trustpilot. Reporting to the Vice President of Product and Audience Marketing, you will collaborate closely with senior leadership, cross-functional stakeholders, and regional teams to create and deliver impactful campaigns. Your mission is to establish a world-class, always-on social media engine that captivates and resonates with both consumer and business audiences.

In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing a wide range of channels including social platforms such as Instagram, Threads, TikTok, YouTube, and emerging mediums. Your expertise will guide the development of playbooks aimed at enhancing growth, engagement, and alignment with Trustpilot's mission, vision, and value propositions. You will play a crucial role in expanding our social media footprint, ensuring our presence is strong and consistent across all major platforms.

What you'll be doing:

  • Oversee channels including social (e.g., Instagram, Threads, TikTok), YouTube, and emerging mediums. Develop playbooks for growth, engagement, and alignment with Trustpilot's mission, vision, and value propositions for both consumers and businesses.
  • Maintain and expand our social media presence across major social media platforms
  • Establish appropriate KPIs and measure the performance of every social media campaign using data and analytics to provide actionable insights and performance analysis.
  • Build a social media measurement framework across all platforms that informs strategy and optimizes performance. Partner with the Data & Analytics team to build dashboards and share actionable insights for continued improvement.
  • Develop and manage a global social calendar and content planning process that ensures appropriate timing, alignment to tentpole moments, coverage of brand opportunities, resource allocation, and alignment to required impact.
  • Partner with the Content & Creative Studio to develop social-first content that promotes and evolves the brand for consumers and businesses.
  • Oversee and mentor the global social media team in developing & delivering a social strategy and creating content that resonates.
  • Maintain and oversee relationships with partnerships, freelancers, and other vendors.
  • Oversee any organic social media budget needs.
  • Investigate and pursue new ways to reach key business and consumer audiences. Continually assess and optimize our social channel mix.

Who you are:

  • Proven relevant social media experience, preferably with experience catering to a dual-sided marketplace/platform
  • Proven history of developing and executing social media strategies that promote engagement, brand awareness, followers and lead generation in line with business objectives
  • Expertise in developing campaign creative and the ability to write, edit, and proof social media posts
  • Effective stakeholder management and can effectively collaborate with other departments and present ideas effectively to stakeholders.
  • Deep understanding of major social media platforms and familiarity with emerging platforms and trends
  • Experience with social media management tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Buffer, Sprout Social).
  • Proficient awareness of brand coherence and the skill to uphold a consistent brand tone across different platforms
  • Experience with A/B testing and using data to drive decision-making.
  • Possesses a talent for creative innovation and the ability to turn abstract concepts into operational realities
  • Skilled at copywriting and possessing an acute awareness of robust social messaging tactics
  • Ability to create value messaging in a way that applies to different audiences
  • Management experience and a self-starter, with a team mindset approach to working in fast-paced environments
