About The Role

We are excited about bringing in an experienced and motivated Accounts Payable Manager to join our fast-paced global Accounting and Finance team! The Global Accounts Payable Manager is responsible for leading our global accounts payable (AP) team while overseeing AP policies and procedures to ensure timely and accurate recording of invoices and vendor payments. This role is responsible for leading Zipline through its growth and international expansion, including evaluating, improving and scaling systems and processes.  

What You'll Do

  • Drive strategic direction of AP activities, including process and policy improvements to drive efficiency and scalability
  • Own the relationship with strategic high-priority vendors and work with the team to provide excellent service and support to all internal and external stakeholders.
  • Work with the Accounting team to evaluate and improve the monthly close process which enables accurate and timely financial reporting
  • Responsible for:
    • End-to-end Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle, including supplier management, indirect purchase orders, invoice management, and payment processing.
    • End-to-end Travel and Expense (T&E) lifecycle, including travel management platform, corporate credit card, and expense processing.
  • Oversee AP financials and filings, including monthly reconciliations and accruals, 1099 submissions, external audit requests, and other reporting.
  • Enforce purchasing processes by partnering with stakeholders and ensuring that controls and processes are balanced with financial obligations and operational requirements
  • Building the AP function in a way that ensures proper segregation of duties as well as strong global controls
  • Maintain documentation of processes, rules, and other guidance.
  • Develop KPIs and generate reports to monitor the status of P2P and T&E activities and impacts.

What You'll Bring

  • BA/BS degree
  • 10+ years of progressive AP experience
  • Strong leadership skills, including managing and mentoring a global AP team at a rapidly changing company
  • Ability to demonstrate discretion and independent judgment when making decisions
  • Familiarity with NetSuite and Coupa is a plus
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and work efficiently to meet competing deadlines
  • Detail-oriented and exceptionally organized
  • Strong written and oral communication skills

What Else You Need to Know

This role can be performed either from South San Francisco, CA OR Dallas-Fort Worth, TX and will require onsite presence.

The starting cash range for this role is $130,000 - $160,000. Please note that this is a target, starting cash range for a candidate who meets the minimum qualifications for this role. The final cash pay for this role will depend on a variety of factors, including a specific candidate's experience, qualifications, skills, working location, and projected impact. The total compensation package for this role may also include: equity compensation; discretionary annual or performance bonuses; sales incentives; benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance; paid time off; and more.
