Global Account Manager - Partnerships ABC

Represent Euromonitor in working with senior executives at some of the largest, well-known advertising agencies, banks, and consultancies (ABC) worldwide to drive growth and retention by building credibility and confidence in Euromonitor’s products and services. The Global Account Manager (GAM) will demonstrate that we are the world leader in data analytics and research into markets, industries, economies and consumers. Working from a named list of existing clients, alongside a Client Consultant (CC), who shares the territory, GAMs are expected to expand the value of our current partnerships by further entrenching our data and analysis with new and current users. The focus of the role is to renew and grow the existing contracts of our largest and most established accounts, aiming for more multi-year renewals and securing revenue growth expansion across our service offerings in multiple areas of the company. The role also includes working very closely with the London based Global Account Directors (GADs) and other GAMs to foster international account growth.  This will be achieved by being able to retain and grow all Euromonitor’s syndicated systems as well as custom capabilities, identifying relevant client needs that can be met through Passport, our web based global analytics and consumer trend analysis platform, or Custom solutions. The position forms part of a pod led by an experienced Team Lead (TL) in Chicago with Global Account Directors overseeing the entire ABC territory. 

 

Success is achieved through: 

  • Renewal of existing contracts across a named set of ABC clients  
  • Securing year-on-year revenue growth to agreed expectations, working hand in hand with a Client Consultant, and other multidisciplinary teams 
  • Drive and develop Global Account Strategies and work collaboratively with peers internationally to create large scale global upsell opportunities 
  • Supporting the North American growth of international accounts 

 

 

Responsibilities: 

  • Understand company organisation, strategy and priorities, uncovering new target groups and locating upsell and securing renewable revenue 
  • Devise and execute a strategy for each account in collaboration with the Client Consultant with input from TL, GADs and manager. Mutually agree on plan of action for both own activity and the Client Consultant 
  • Execute the global strategy put in place by GAM and GADs on these accounts seconded locally 
  • Conduct compelling, thought-provoking client outreach to engage new and existing contacts with Euromonitor content with the goal of identifying leads for further development 
  • Onboard new users either face-to-face or via online demos 
  • Collaborate with Senior Product Specialist team to optimise knowledge and resources  
  • Work with Marketing team to ensure campaigns are tailored and targeted 
  • Provide expert research support to all clients, through detailed understanding of Euromonitor’s product portfolio and research methodology 
  • Implement high level engagements across accounts to elevate our Research Expertise and increase our stickiness with clients  

 

  

Requirements

  • Excellence in current role, goal-oriented and consistently at or over target 
  • 3yrs+ of sales experience, with experience renewing large enterprise partnerships 
  • Experience working enterprise-wide with Agencies, Banks or Consultancies 
  • Experience with consultative selling techniques 
  • Hunger for career growth 
  • Comfortable interacting with people across various levels and functions 
  • Highly organised with excellent time management, managing numerous client contacts, including establishing frequent points of interaction  
  • Strong communication, negotiation, numeracy and diplomacy skills 
  • Ability to use Salesforce effectively 
  • Target oriented – ability to meet monthly and annual sales targets 
  • Knowledge of consumer market trends and dynamics are preferable 
  • Ability & willingness to effectively collaborate with international colleagues 
  • Intellectual curiosity
