What You'll Do:
- Generate and process customer invoices in an accurate and timely manner.
- Review contracts and sales orders to ensure proper invoicing in line with company policies.
- Track and resolve any discrepancies or billing issues.
- Maintain up-to-date records of customer billing and payment history.
- Proactively manage accounts receivable, ensuring timely follow-up on outstanding invoices.
- Assist with the monthly financial close process, including preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and variance analysis.
- Support the preparation of monthly financial reports and reporting.
- Identify opportunities for streamlining invoicing, collections, and close procedures.
- Assist in the implementation of new accounting software and/or processes to enhance efficiency.
- Prepare supporting documentation for audits and respond to auditor inquiries.
- Assist in other ad-hoc projects as necessary.
What You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- 2-3 years of experience in accounting, with a focus on US GAAP accounting.
- Proficiency with accounting software (NetSuite, Maxio) and strong Excel skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of GAAP and accounting best practices.
- Experience in collections and handling customer communications.
- [Preferred] Familiarity with revenue recognition standards (e.g., ASC 606) is a plus.
- [Preferred] Strong communication skills for interacting with internal and external stakeholders.
- [Preferred] CPA is a plus
