A day in the life of a Geospatial Analyst:
As the Geospatial Analyst, you will provide direct on-site production support to the government customer producing detailed ortho-rectified, geo-referenced, two-dimensional site diagrams and maps using tools that include: GIS software – ESRI ArcGIS Pro or ArcMap, Image Processing software – RemoteView and CAD software – AutoCAD or MicroStation. 

Acquire and bring softcopy imagery covering a particular site into Image Processing software where it is cropped, ortho-rectified and geo-referenced.  Using GIS Software, heads-up digitize site features including buildings, roads, railroads, open water, fence lines, walls, etc. Using CAD software, add border information and marginalia according to pre-defined standards.

Marginalia includes title, bar scale, north arrow, filename, etc. Final site maps are presented to the customer in .pdf files.  The production process may also require use of other tools including: Adobe Illustrator, and Google Earth.  Manage, track and maintain completed projects in a ESRI File Geodatabase.

Enjoy working on a variety of GIS/Mapping projects, in a team environment, using a variety of sources and software applications to address the end user’s needs, sometimes with a short deadline.

The ideal candidate will have previous GIS experience with the ESRI suite of software.

What we are expecting from you (i.e. the qualifications you must have):

  • Must have an active TS/SCI clearance with full scope polygraph
  • Must have a minimum of 4 years of experience with the ESRI suite of software or comparable formal education and a minimum of one year of experience.
  • Proficiency on using Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator and other CAD and related COTS software applications.
  • Demonstrated good oral and written communications skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.

Required Level of Security Clearance: TS/SCI

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
