We have a current opening for a General Superintendent in Dallas, TX.
Success in the position is achieved through the following duties & responsibilities:
Build the people within the Field Ops team to facilitate their growth and the capabilities of the overall team to perform the work:
- Structure the overall Field Ops Department to adequately execute the work, grow leaders within the department and provide an exceptional level of support for all projects.
- Coach and develop Sr. Superintendents for successful accomplishment of their Key Results.
- Develop long term succession plan for the Field Ops Department based on leadership potential of team members and growth of the company.
- Identify project teams that are struggling and work with Sr. Superintendent to provide help and resources.
- Demonstrate most or all of the Royal Leadership Traits and coach Field Operations on company culture and strategy.
Build relationships with clients, vendors and other trades that help us execute a successful project:
- Set & implement client strategy with Field Ops Team based upon the client color coding (improve or maintain relationship, mitigate risk, etc.) for each project.
- Personally develop relationships with top field leadership of clients that results in proactive two-way communication and feedback.
- Ensure Sr. Superintendents are engaged with client field leadership throughout the project and identifying/meeting their needs, objectives and challenges.
- Ensure Sr Superintendents develop and implement plans to monitor and improve relationships with "Yellow & Red" clients to mitigate risk on those projects.
Build relationships with Internal Royal Departments for good collaboration and project performance:
- Ensure integration between Field Ops and Project Management for overall project approach and implementation.
- Provide feedback and collaborate with Estimating to help future bids with regard to production rates, means & methods.
- Ensure Field Ops teams work collaboratively with Support Ops for timely information sharing and involvement in the project to meet client expectations and comply with all regulations.
- Engage in the RLT to participate in strategy, initiative implementation, culture and feedback for the entire company.
Execute a detailed and timely Project Kickoff so the Project Approach can be proactively implemented by Field Ops Teams throughout the project:
- Monitor total company backlog and labor projections for planning field leadership needs.
- Ensure Field Ops Teams are following the Project Kickoff Process for all new projects.
- Review and approve project approach with Field Ops Teams and oversee overall execution of the plan.
- Ensure Field Ops Teams are communicating with support departments for resources needed to build the project (manpower, equipment, prefab, VC).
Utilize the client schedule and weekly look ahead schedules to ensure work areas are ready and resources (labor, materials, equipment, subs) are deployed:
- Maintain a general overview of all project schedules and ensure there are adequate resources for the projects (labor, equipment, tools, etc.).
- Ensure Sr. Superintendents are engaged in the 4 Week Look Ahead schedules, the accuracy of the planning, and movement of manpower.
Maximize project financial success through effective production goal setting, tracking, improvement and removal of impacts:
- Oversee production planning with each Sr. Superintendent for their projects.
- Monitor productivity of projects on site and coach Field Ops Team on improving productivity through means & methods or new equipment/technology.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- Active Journeyman/Master Electrician License
- 7+ years of progressive field leadership positions
- A proven track record of delivering safe projects on schedule and within budget
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to perform a variety of tasks under multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated leadership skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
- Excellent knowledge of the Building Codes
- Preferred certifications: OSHA 30, CPR, First Aid

Salary Range:
- $150,000/year - $180,000/year
- This is an exempt Level Position
