We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented General Ledger Accountant to join our growing team. This role is responsible for providing comprehensive accounting support for our international entities, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.

Job Responsibilities
- Prepare journal entries for international subsidiaries, adhering to local GAAP and IFRS standards.
- Process various accounting functions, including accruals, prepayments, bank reconciliations, fixed asset accounting, payroll processing, intercompany transactions, and transfer pricing.
- Assist with the preparation and filing of VAT returns for international operations.
- Support the international payroll process, ensuring accurate and timely payments to employees.
- Reconcile balance sheet accounts, maintaining the integrity of financial records.
- Conduct global payroll reconciliations to identify and resolve discrepancies.
- Prepare monthly review files and perform variance analysis to identify trends and potential issues.
- Assist with statutory audits
- Assist with financial statement preparation
- Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement within the international accounting function.
- Assist with various accounting projects as assigned.
Candidate Requirements
- Fully qualified in CMA/CA/ACCA/CIMA or a Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting.
- 3-4 years of experience working in general ledger accounting.
- Previous experience working for a US company with international operations (preferred).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Strong understanding of international accounting standards and experience with intercompany accounting and foreign currency transactions.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
- Prior experience using Sage Intacct and Floqast a plus.
- Self-motivated with a proactive attitude and a passion for continuous improvement.
- Ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively with a team.
- Candidate must be based in Sri Lanka
