General Accounting Team Lead

Financial Statement Accuracy/Data Integrity

▪ Manage data integrity and preparation of financial information to ensure completeness, accuracy, timeliness and accessibility
▪ Compliance and quality control review (i.e., preparation and review of account analysis/reconciliations, Journal entry review and approval and adherence to accounting policies and procedures)
• Work with local Finance contacts during GL close to ensure  adequate completeness, accuracy, timeliness, accessibility and  consistency to corporate policies and IFRS
•    Review and analyze current procedures in order to recommend and implement changes to standardize activities in accordance to Standard Process Model (SPM)and integrate into shared services

 

Tax & Statutory Compliance

•    Review and monitor operations follow tax ordinances (for PH locations)
•    Stay up-to-date with tax laws and regulations
•    Keep track of industry trends and changes related to taxes by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications

 

Cash Management

•    Monitor the cashflow and liquidity of the entities
•    Coordinate and propose to management should there be any funding requirement
•    Ensure accuracy and timeliness of execution of payment run
•    Ensure correctness of bank balances by ensuring the team is performing regular bank reconciliation 
•    Review and analyze current procedures in order to recommend and implement changes to standardize activities and integrate into shared services

 

Leadership

▪ Directly supervise team members; provide performance feedback and coaching
▪ Resolve issue escalations and assist others as required
▪ Responsible for staff training and education
▪ Foster communication and teamwork within and across organizational boundaries

  • BS Accountancy graduate, preferably Certified Public Accountant (CPA)
  • 8+ years work related experience
  • Experience in Auditing firm preferably
  • SAP expert in General ledger (FICO); knowledgeable in other SAP accounting modules (AR, AP, MM)
  • Excellent knowledge in IFRS and regulatory requirements
  • Excellent communication, analytical, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Proficient in MS office
  • Preferably with experience in process improvements
  • Ability to reconcile complex accounts
  • Experience in AR/AP/ICO preferred
  • At least 2 years supervisory/managerial experience in a manufacturing, BPO or shared service industry
  • Experience with working with international teams required
  • Advanced customer relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience in a manufacturing or BPO setting is preferred
