Job Overview

As a Game Marketing Specialist, you will be the bridge between the English game planning/localization team and the Japanese marketing team. Your main task will be to lead the international marketing projects for multiple games translated into a number of languages. Other responsibilities include:


Responsibilities

  • Plan and execute on online and digital advertising projects aimed at English-speaking markets
  • Responsibility for other local channels (talent casting to concept creation of entire projects)
  • Content production (i.e. video advertisement and PR)
  • Plan traditional/offline marketing campaigns and merchandise development (i.e. offline advertising, POS marketing, merchandising goods, etc.)
  • Identify new business ideas based on market research, data, and insights from overseas markets

Requirements

  • 1+ year experience with games or anime-related IPs web marketing
  • Near native-level English, JLPT N2+ (business-level) Japanese, (working languages: 60% Japanese, 40% English)
  • Motivated, globally-minded team player
  • Eager to work with diverse environment
  • Passionate gamer with knowledge of video game terminology (RPGs)
  • Knowledge of Japanese otaku culture
  • Knowledge of anime trends and fandoms/communities

Good to have

  • Fluent in other languages
  • Experience working in a Japanese team/company before
